TL:DR Guessing everyone else has said the same thing, Seat Jackers FTW. I'm 6'5" 215 and they are a lifesaver. Your back, butt, legs will thank you.

Update:

Just installed the Seat Jackers.

Didn't get a chance to drive around but briefly sitting afterwards I could immediately feel more support in my back.

Headroom definitely took a big hit. My seat position pre-jackers had my head hitting the sound bar. In most seat adjustments I made, my head was touching something or would be hitting something in the case of an accident.

I seemed to find one position where my head was pretty much clear of everything but there's no room for adjustment so gonna have to see how that one position pans out.

At 6'4, I have a hard time grasping how so many people here at my height or taller are using these without the Seat Slammers.

Depending how my next long trip goes might have to install the slammers, lease or not.

For now though I'm willing to eat a few concussions for a comfortable bottom

Just installed mine and having the same experience. Probably gonna go with the slammers and try to return the jackers.

Edit: I’m 6’4ā€

Not sure if the Slammer alone will help with discomfort though. Just with seat height. I think using them in conjunction is probably ideal to get all benefits.

Edit: I may be wrong. Looks like the Slammer does in fact raise the front

I am 5' 10" and feel like i need the slammers. My first thought when I got my JTR was that the front of the seat could use a small lift to make me more comfortable, but I am at the bottom of the seat height adjustment, and STILL feel like the seat is just overall too high. Seems like this thread is for people about 6" taller than myself, but curious as to why one would choose to raise the front over lowering the rear (save for being a more intrusive install), especially when the seat height adjustment is at the bottom already. I mean...you can always raise it using the built in height adjustment, right?

Just installed my @813 Fabrication & Design dead pedal with old school switch and it has made a huge difference in my comfort level already. Coming from a Colorado I couldn’t believe jeep hasn’t put a foot rest in?!?!?

i added the old school foot switch for future light addition.

I pulled the trigger and installed the option 2 slammers, then moved the fixed jackers to the passenger seat. Now this thing is way more comfortable. I was hesitant because you can’t come back from the slammers unless you weld the feet back on but I’m so glad I did it now. The wife loves the jackers on her side. That with the quadratec dead pedal makes a huge difference.

Update, DDI is running a black friday sale, so I took advantage of the 15% off and purchased the shorty's. They make a HUGE difference in how the seat feels. I have only driven about a half hour on them so far, but the leg support is immensely improved. Again, I am 5' 10" and have a 30" inseam, so I just followed their recommendation chart and got the shortys. TIme will tell how much I like them, but at the moment, they certainly arent coming back out!

Now if someone made a short rear view mirror mount, I wouldnt feel like it was so in the way.

I’m 6’1ā€ and couldn’t do long drives either. I also looked at the jackers and after considering the US exchange and all the other fees and time to get up here to Canada, I went to Lowe’s and bought washers. Raised the front of my seat 1/2ā€ and my world has changed! Heck, it even makes the truck run better.

I also went up in the attic and grabbed my old platform shoes and put it on my left foot! Holy frick what a difference. I’m now kicken a sweet ride.

Ok, so I may be grabbing the seat jackers for the future….especially because they sound like they accomplish something I attempt for my ā€˜ā€desk chairā€

The airplane I fly is incredibly uncomfortable for anything beyond about 60 minutes….but it’s primary mission is trips 3-6 hours long. the fix for me is to jack up the front thigh support as high as it goes (taking pressure off my tailbone), and then using a Purple Seat cushion. Yeah, like the Purple Mattress company. The gel grid of the cushion eliminates pressure point pain, back pain, and but pain. i can drop the seat pretty low, so in my assigned aircraft, I use a 2ā€ cushion, but they make a 1ā€ that I use for travel, long drives, and stadium seats. GAME CHANGER: it also doesn’t increase ride height all that much.
