2023 Jeep Gladiator Order…What step are you in?

Ordered a Willys Sport on 10/21. Called salesperson after weekend to make minor change. Said unfortunately it can't be done as it is scheduled to be built on 10/29. I asked do you mean 11/29. He said no, this week. Crazy. Now this may possibly be because it has no power windows, locks or mirrors and ordered a standard which I've had before and really missed it. The savings on my plain Jane Jeep was nearly $5000. Ordered Sarge Green as I also have a Sarge Green 392 with half doors that I can't wait to put on the Willys S. Have a Willys S auto that I love but the trade in was right and I moved up 2 years. I can live without the power door locks, windows and mirrors. It has the basics and I'm thrilled to have the bare bones model parked next to my 392 and 4XE...

Looks like I should have ordered in September instead of August. It appears once you get booted from the line the vehicle moves to nowhere land and sits forever. I may place a new order with Gupton and forget about my deposit at my local dealer. When it gets delivered sometime next year they can stick a huge price tag on it and sell it since it is such a special order it takes months to finish. ?

turns out you burn more fuel traveling north due to gravitational pull.. minuet amounts,.. but jeez 14.2mpg ...that's what's causing the engine light try driving south!

Well I'm adjusting or still adapting to the weak 3.6................going from driving a built Tahoe that has 400ftlbs at about 3500rpm is a wee bit different. As a wild note, there is less then a 50lb weight difference between the JT and my Tahoe PPV; last time I took it to the scales it was 5002 with 1/4 tank of E85

Well, delivery was just pushed back, 2 days. I expect the tracker likely projects a date for being built, then a date for delivery. If it's not built by the projection, it adds time. Perhaps it's the Sarge Green that's the issue after all, not the leather seats

Ordered it on 9/22/2022 arrived at dealer on 10/20/2022 picked up today (pic below)and is in my driveway tonight on 10/26/2022. Stoked!

That has got to be the FASTEST delivery yet! Less than 30 days start to finish! CONGRATS!!! And nice lookin rig!

Thanks!! I think I've read a few others who received theirs faster, but this was astonishingly fast. I was hoping for mid-December when I ordered, especially since I had all the tech packages in there.

I definitely hit a stroke of luck with my order timing. Based on what I've read in the forums and my very limited understanding of the production process from various Videos and articles, orders are scheduled and built using weighted criteria. Those criteria include not just the colors and options, but forecast shipping routes/availability, sold vs. stock inventory, and of course parts inventory and labor availability. The weighting of the criteria itself is probably dynamic based on all the other factors.

In my case, again a wild guess:

• I ordered during the week of the production shut down.
• During that week, some components that weren't a part of the factory and supplier assembly shut down which may have previously been unavailable (chips, wiring harnesses, etc.) had some time to for supplies to build up.
• @Minty JL had his Mojave build in queue long before my order, but they were both
  • Mojave builds
  • Soft tops only *EDITED the post because I had forgotten to add this*
  • Sold orders
  • Limited Mopar add-ons
  • Destined to the same high-volume dealer
  • Dealer is also only a day or so by direct truck carrier delivery without involving train timelines or potential railroad strikes.
  • My order or someone else's JT or JL order could have been the last spot projected to fill that truck and trigger all 10 to be built around the same time (allowing for some add-ons, QC controls, etc.).

In my mind, I picture it kind of like a slot machine or the trickling green letters in the movie The Matrix.

It's not a Gladiator, buuut I did order a Reign Wrangler Sahara from Gupton for my wife:
Confirmed - 7/18
Scheduled - 8/23
In Production - 9/27
Built - 10/13
Delivered - 10/24

We're planning to pick it up Saturday morning (10/29).

sport: white, hardtop, tow package, slush mats, M/T. ORDER CONFIRMED 8-25, SCHEDULED 9-15, IN PRODUCTION 10-18, SHIPPED 10-22, ARRIVAL 11-24. That's one long train ride and then a long truck ride to reach Smallville Montana! Might make it here in time for ice fishing season.

Jeep Tracker still shows emails disabled, but got an email anyway this morning with an updated delivery date. Hope it's conservative. Would like to close the deal and at least get the tri-fold tonneau cover slapped on so we can take it on the road for Thanksgiving. I can get the Mopar lift and new tires & wheels when we get back.

Again, cynical me, I've been holding off buying anything for it until it's actually mine.

That's not cynical, that's smart thinking. I'm the same way. I keep wanting to buy all of the accessories but wonder why have them sit in my garage for a month when I might find a better solution or a better deal later? What happens if the Jeep is damaged when it arrives an I don't accept it? What if the dealer plays games with the price at the end and I have to walk away? It's hard to wait but it's better to do so. (unless you pass up those black friday deals that you'll regret later)
