So drove to Camp Geiger for my Son, who is a Navy Hospital Corpsman, graduating from Marine Combat Training as part of a pilot program after completing Field Medical school. Got this guy while we were at MCAS New River MCX grabbing some food tonight.

plenty of info out there on the subject... where, when and how it all began and why it continues. There are several links provided in this thread as well.

When I get one I look around and can usually spot the Jeep I assume it came from. I promptly go and give it back or just leave on the ground. I personally think it’s a stupid trend. To each their own

Edit for clarity

“give it back” meant to the person driving the Jeep. “Leave it on the ground” meant if said person is not around. I don’t want someone touching my vehicles so I don’t touch others. So I leave it on the ground at the drivers door

So instead of giving it to a kid or being like whatever and throwing it in the trash, you'd rather litter (someone will drive over it or not see it and kick it, or just an animal will get a hold of it (that can be dangerous if it gets chewed and or swallowed) and then it is just rubbish that won't deteriorate for a long time?
Just cause you think it is stupid ?

let me clarify Because you are correct based on my response above.

Although I have seen ducks and I even support the idea of ducking because in my opinion it simply represents a small nice gesture from someone in a world that is increasingly worse, I have still not been ducked.

I guess I’m still just a “no duck mother-____”

So actually, you think it is stupid because they "touch" your vehicle by placing a duck on it?

Personally, I think the person ducking it has more appreciation and care for your vehicle than the 100s of nutters that dislike jeeps for various reasons who will touch it in ways that will leave traces other than a duck.
They deflated my tires the other day in the city :( and put a sticker on it blaming SUVs forr XYZ. Still have traces of the glue there. Need to find a shop that has a decal erazer.

Yeah... you "read" like a person who would think it was a stupid trend...... yet you still posted on the "Ducks" thread...

Edit for clarity

Each to their own, you choice to like/dislike a trend and after reading your comment, I understand why you don't like it, what I can't understand is if you don't like it, why come here and post about it ?

That really sux, sorry that happened to you.... the ducks dont harm anything, but deflating tires and putting stickers on someone else vehicle is a different story.

You have to start ducking.... maybe it will increase your chances.... the ole' better to give than receive.... maybe that will generate some duck karma for you...

But until then, here is a duck for you my friend ......

The stupid thing is I didn't notice it. I think the rims are fine but ...Was in a hurry and my tpms is disabled because the factory warning is just annoying and in the wrong range, even on road. Go enough offroad that even if it was fine it would be annoying
