Has anyone installed the other MOPAR Steel bumper on a JT? It’s the Rubicon Offroad Bumper (Mopar #82215691AD). I have a Mojave and wondering if I will need to alter the skid plate and buy a bracket for LED lights. I‘m also wondering if anyone has the winch guard for sale. I bought is second hand. Thanks in advance!

This is an interesting process, for sure. Since I have a Mojave with LED fog lights, I will need a fog light bracket ($20) and a rubicon skid plate with hardware. I can pick up a cheapish skid plate ($100) but it doesn’t have the hardware. Will need to source the skid plate hardware; specifically the lower brackets, which are connection points for this bumper.
Do you have the details of fog light bracket? Are they mopar or third party? I would appreciate if you can share the details here?

If it hasn't been said - if you go with this bumper and need parts and pieces to complete the project - like bolts, nutserts, brackets and so on, I suggest you contact Benny, allmoparparts - a sponsor here. He is friendly, helpful, knows his stuff, will look things up for you, and if you decide to buy the parts from them, he'll probably send you a code for a shipping discount.

I have this on my Rubicon. You need to buy the skid plate or alter one. I was able to re-use my factory LED fogs with an adapter I bought on Amazon. I have the bar as well. I bought a winch mount as well, I think APX. The Badlands 12K winch fits but it is wicked tight!

Install is difficult, a lot of things need to come together to make it happen. I have installed and removed it for various things 3 times. Never got easier.

It has held up well though.

Spend the $60.00 and get the Maximus 3 brackets.
https://maximus-3.com/jl-bumper-accessories-/jl-fog-light-adapter-bracket
4 mounting holes hold the fog light better.
No, they don't.
I've had both. The real weak spot isn't at all where the bracket mounts to the light, it's the spot between and where the bracket bolts to the bumper.
The fog lights can still easily be knocked out of place with the 4 hole brackets. That fog light housing is plenty rigid.
The only reason there are 4 mounting ears on those fog lights is because they mount on the weaker plastic bumper and need help keeping them solidly in that cheaper bumper.
I originally had the 4 hole bracket like you show - and while adjusting the fog lights I didn't have things loose enough and pushed with my thumbs and bent those brackets near the bumper, had to pull them off and bend them back.
I've found the 2 hole brackets to be just as tough. The weakness is where they attach to the bumper, and that area between there and the light.
You aren't gonna bend the light or where the bracket connects to the light. (I've accidentally tried)
Mine are quite solid with the 2 holer.

I installed my eBay bumper using the 2 hole brackets supplied with the bumper back in early 2020.
The same bumper is now on my 2022. No fog light issues.
If I was going to spend rad money on brackets, I'd buy those that Diode Dynamics sells for their fog lights - $50/pair. But I didn't, and am glad I saved the money.
