I'm in the exact same boat, wife has a van that she's always liked, Alternator went out on it about 6 months ago and it took me 2 weeks to fix it.

2 weeks of her driving my Jeep and now she's in the market for a wrangler herself...

I think you've just stumbled upon the most effective way to plant the seed of wanting a Jeep in the mind of a significant other. Eureka!!!!

I'm not sure this was good idea. We came home from work today and pulled into the garage together. She rolled down her window and said "mine is bigger". The last time I heard that from a female, I ran like hell and never went back to that bar....

Say no more....I know exactly what you mean, second JT in our driveway was the result of her being with me when I went for test drive to get mine....she already had a JL, at that point, lol

Bumble Bee can you change your signature so we can see what your wife has done to her ride, she has a really nice jeep and yours is ok also...Jack

PS: My wife has a wrangler also, when I asked if she would like to get something else her reply was no I like Jeeps, but the dealer has a limited color Purple (Hell Raisin I think) one on their lot, I figured what the hell she is the best thing that ever happened to me, why not. Sold before I got there, my dealer did say what he would give me in trade I was floored.

On the weekends she lets me drive it when we go somewhere. The other day while I was driving us to a restaurant, she looks over at me says "Stop driving it like it's yours"! What the hell does that even mean!!!???

Well, bit the bullet and picked the wife up a Rubicon this morning.

Nice Jeep. And now has me wondering, what would it take to put the axles and transfer case from the rubicon under my gladiator? Wife isn't going to do any real wheeling compared to what I'd eventually do.
