Bill, I am going through the same thing with my wife who loves her 2019 Sahara blue one but Blue was on the lot and she didn't want to order, she saw a reign 4XE at our dealer and I checked it out, was pretty nice my salesman offered a guess at what we would get in trade and it was pretty great, but we hate black interiors so we would have to do the Catskins again like we did on hers. That one sold , but driving around for work, I pulled into a dealer that is also our Mack truck dealer we use and they had four there, all black interiors, two saharas a Willys, and a two door also. The Willys ands one Sahara were 4XEs. If I can find some this close to home they gotta be out there, Willys 4XE was something I didn't know existed....Jack

If you use the jeep e-shop, there are actually a ton of wranglers in reign around the country. Now one with full time 4wd and safety package, not sure.

Yeah, that's what I've been using.
I can tell by prices what they will or won't have except for when they have that sky one touch power top - that adds over $4,200 to the price, making them look like well-equipped Jeeps when they are basic with that expensive roof option.
I only filter by 4 door and reign, and then go by the price. If it's under 60K it won't have the options.
The problem my dealer told me about is that the Jeep site only knows about Jeeps ordered by dealers for their inventory - their lots. If there's one on the lot ordered for a customer and the customer backed out, it won't show up in the e-shop. Local dealer said they have one that didn't show up on jeep.com as part of their inventory. How true that is? He was able to show on his screen it didn't show up.

Selec-Trac
Safety Group
Advance safety group
Cold weather group
Seats - we want leather but that's an easy add later for 2 grand so I don't let that knock any out of contention.

Not a common color at all, there's a few out there, but the options combo is impossible. So many were ordered with that sky one touch power top. Dealers must be pushing that for there to se so many out there on lots.

4xes come with selec-trac as well already and a lot of the features built in. Plus if you take delivery by end of February you get 7500 back in tax credit, it's the cheapest way to get in to a high end wrangler currently.
I'm open to that, she's poo-pooing the thought of plugging anything in. But I'm still looking at those as once she sees how easy it is to do.......

Get a black or white one equipped the way you want and have it wrapped in the perfect purple.

As an aside, that color is really great in person. Rode in one recently that is a 392 and it was phenomenal. Made me actually go build one on the Jeep website.
That's been suggested but wraps can't be done to cover the whole thing - hinges, door edges, all visible painted parts inside (cage, etc. would still show original color)
Some parts can't be wrapped so it would not work out. The cool part of Wranglers and Gladiators is you see so much of the body color on the interior. Open the rear of a Wrangler and you see body color.
Hinges, for example, the screws, all would have to come off and be painted. Then you'd break that paint seal between body and hinge.
Looked into it - great for two-tones, multiple colors, but.................

I'm putting no distance restriction. some dealers may ship, some may swap with other dealers, and some may ship to a closer dealer and I take my trailer and go pick it up. If it's in Florida, we fly down to visit my son and drive back with it.
I found out the black hard top could be painted - not cheap, but it's a way to get around her "only with purple roof, too" restriction. Some things can be gotten around.

My apologies to the diesel fans - it would be HER Jeep, so no diesels.
If it were mine - maybe a different story, but no way for her. I have to keep in mind I'm shopping for HER, not for ME. It's really harder to do than you might think - putting your own preferences aside.

No leather and black top, but everything else I think, including Limited slip.
Maybe you just need to forgo the Sahara thing.

anything near the mid Atlantic states is just a way point on your trip to Florida.

the power roof is painted, for all intents and purposes, if you are vertically challenged…

Looking at Sahara and higher because they will automatically have the 8.4 and most likely passive entry for the tailgate along with the front doors.
We both looked at vehicles with the smaller screens when I was buying and both said no way - not with my vision and our ages. Big screen.
We've both had Jeeps with the 8.4 for years now, there's no going back.
I figure if I go Sahara or up, I don't have to also specify a bunch more stuff in the list because they'll just be there. Otherwise, I'd have to expand the list a bit more.

Now as to that specific Jeep - it's pretty danged close. But I'd have to figure in radio upgrade and adding passive entry to the tail. (I know the roof can be painted, already checked into that.

Frankly, I'm looking at every one of the almost 200 "matches" that come up because I've found more than one Rubicon that was there except for being diesel (and one other tiny thing we could overcome)
If it's correctly equipped, I'm open to adding what can be added like leather if it's cloth, that sort of thing.

Black soft sides...... I looked at a number of pictures - soft and black sides, removable quarter windows. Meh, trouble. Hard top only.

We also plan a trip to LA to visit the swamp areas so anything near that state or on the way there or over to FL is doable. And I know people who go back and forth with trailers now and then if it's a trip I don't want to make with mine. Some dealers say they'll ship........ If one was in NY and they would ship to IN, I know people there so that would be an excuse for a visit.
I can be creative on getting things here now and then.

As much fun as it is to help someone spend their $$. You may be searching for a unicorn. The only thing I’m coming up with is 392’s or no selec-trac.

3.6 for us.
Besides, that's only 30K over budget.
Remember, my wife likes comfort and bells and whistles, not gas stations.
I'm already likely to need to put steps on a Wrangler for her.
Its just money Bill @ShadowsPapa

Fire up the printer and make it reign LOL

There's more out there with the 392 than any of the other engines, I swear! And that sort of surprises me that there are so many left since everyone claims that's what they want.
Each time I search, I do try to play different "what-ifs" but there are some things like the engine, that's just not in the cards. No diesel, no V8. Even the 3.6 Wrangler will disappoint her on MPG. (but not by a whole lot)

There's nothing within 250 miles of La La land either. You'd think Californians would go for the vibrant colors. You're going to have more luck finding her a diamond necklace. Maybe that's your way out of the doghouse...

Jeep Gladiator Purple Wrangler (reign?) maxresdefault

That would absolutely be what I would name a purple reign Jeep

We know that's where the name came from......... word play, but the employee who picked the name had to be a fan.
