There's more out there with the 392 than any of the other engines, I swear! And that sort of surprises me that there are so many left since everyone claims that's what they want.
Each time I search, I do try to play different "what-ifs" but there are some things like the engine, that's just not in the cards. No diesel, no V8. Even the 3.6 Wrangler will disappoint her on MPG. (but not by a whole lot)
There are so many because of the $$$$’s. The same reason there are more ///M cars and AMG vehicles available. It’s a lot easier to sell someone a $60k vehicle with a 6 than an 80k vehicle with an 8 (even though the 8 is way more than $20k more fun).

That's the one that started this all - lacking the equipment, though. Doesn't have either the basic safety group or the advanced safety group. If it had that stuff, it might be worth spending 2K to get leather installed and 2700 to get the top painted.

This is the pic I sent my wife that started all of this -

Yeah saw that it didn’t have the safety group or the advanced safety group after I posted it. Was just surprised to find it with the selec-trac.

Good luck, Bill (with your unicorn hunting)

It will be interesting to see how this works out. Since today is payday, I will be going to Benson. I am going to try to get a look at this Wrangler in Reign. I have to admit though, that I would rather have a 3.6 than the 2.0.

The 2.0 sounds like shit, but pulls great honestly. It's a turbo motor so you have to beans it but you have to beans the 3.6 too.

I drove a rental Sahara with the 2.0 Kinda wonder why they didn’t offer that in the Gladiator.

Jeep had test mules before the launch with 2.0L engines in them and had cooling problems when put under higher towing loads the Gladiator was expected to operate in. Business case was not there for them to offer the 2.0L in the Gladiator and address the cooling problems.

I'm not interested in a Wrangler for myself, but since I see so many (I work in service at Benson) I don't really pay attention to what is on the lot at any given time unless I decide to look for something for myself or my wife. I agree about the sound and performance of the 2.0 engine, but so far they have been relatively trouble free, other than a few leaking coolant at the coolant inlet tube to block connection. Easy to fix, there is a TSB/CSN for it. Just thinking that this Wrangler seems pretty well loaded, it might be a Unicorn.

Maybe start with a black one and a fade to Reign.
Not for my wife - but that's sort of cool. If I didn't already have my JT....................that's really neat!
