Likelihood Jeep will offer 35s or 4.88 gears on the 2024 Gladiators?

Starting to think about trading in my JKU Rubicon and looking at the Gladiator. Will the XR package come to the JLTs next year? 4.88s? Thoughts?

I would expect neither.

4.88s are only available on manual rubicons for the jl, and I've got a sneaking suspicion take rates for the manual is even lower on JTs than JL/JLUs.

As for the XR package, the fact that they haven't done it already leads me to believe they just don't care. Wrangler only got it because of competition. Gladiator has no competition in this space.

Yeah, I'm a manual guy and was bummed that the XR package isn't available on manual Wranglers. Was hoping maybe the Gladiator would be different but I guess not.

Unless part constraint suddenly eases or demand dies down, I dont think jeep will do much with the gladiator short term since they're basically selling wranglers as soon as they can make them and too many parts are shared.

I especially doubt XR because of all the extra testing/ratings that would bring. The wrangler is tow limited at 3500 pounds because its hitch is rated for 3500 lbs, similarly they all get the same load rating so jeep can expiriment more there with less compliance testing.

That about the Hurricane Turbo 6 coming to either the Gladiator or the Wrangler?

Nobody knows and any speculation is just a large circle jerk.

Until the buyers guide actually drops for any of it, I would not be making any major decisions or plans in anticipation of it.

100%. It will have you connect five the new hurricane engine and Xtreme Recon package for 24. I know this because that’s all stuff I wanted in 21 and I waited and waited and waited. The only thing that changed was the price and the few items they took away. Price went up about $10,000 and no new features. I just got my 23 in October, so 100% all that stuff is going to show up on the 24 and the price will probably drop.
