Just found out about this, thread. I will be joining you all soon as well. Have decided to go with the Alu-Cab Canopy Camper as well. The one thing im trying to figure out is how I can use the space above the freedom panels. Hear me out.

Was thinking of picking up something like this - [LINK] - then taking it and cutting it to the length desired and mounting it just to the freedom panels. So that I can utilize the space above there for maybe light stuff, like max tracks, antennas, wood I'm bringing or even a storage box of some sort.

What do you guys think?
A guy I talked to on IG has this https://rebeloffroad.com/HALO_2_0_Jeep_Gladiator_Roof_Rack_Light_Mounts_ROE-HALO2PT0LBRackJT/

It is very cool and they will cut it for you. He said he had his cut to 25"x 51". The only issue I see is the cost. His was $1800. Rebel Off Road Halo Rack 2.0 LBR series.

What is his IG handle? Just want to see how it looks, I mean yeah that would be brutal to but a 2000$ Rack, and imo that rack doesnt look as good as some of the closed system.

Thats been the problem, lots of nice racks on the market, but way to $$ to chop up and only use 1/4 of the rack.

Thanks yeah the overall setup is great, it really looks good and functional. Looks like he drilled through the Freedom Panels? I personally would like to use the rain gutters. Also looks like the manufacture made this rack custom order, doesn't look like it was cut and rewelded or anything.

Wonder how much the 25"x51" Piece cost

If anyone is interested in the Instagram- [LINK]

Right! I love the setup but , no gracias. I’m just looking to put stuff like a inflatable stand up paddle board up there. Nothing too heavy.

Any of guys running Dobinsons springs? If so, are your springs rusting? Attached are photos of the front springs after less than a year on the truck and less than 15k miles. The rear springs are rusting as well. I have only driven in the Winter weather 4-5 times (I'm in KY) and sprayed the truck afterwards. They look rough. I will probably need to change them as this doesn't look very good for upcoming shows. I guess it's time to swap to the AEV springs.

Yes, Jeremy, mine are as well. They've been on just over one year. Midwest salt belt.

That sucks! I have some emails in to them to see what they say. I think either way, I won't put them on again since it will probably cost me to have them replaced since it is a bigger job than my driveway can handle. I tried once but could not get enough sag in the driveway to install very easily.

I have the Genesis Dual Battery setup under the hood powering all of the lighting and 12V for the camper. I also have a Bluetti 70/solar panels to use for more power. I also have the Cascadia 4x4 hood-mounted solar panel trickle charging the batteries with it going to the secondary battery first. This month I have a few shows I am going to and will get to test everything better to see how it all works together.
I have a JKUR that I run the Genesis Dual Battery set up along with the Cascadia 100 W solar panel to my secondary battery also. I run a fridge continuously (ARB 50qt) and a number of electronics such as a couple of Garmin GPS along with the Garmin InReach and a Pad, not to mention my phone continuously. In about two days without good sunshine my fridge will kick off due to the safety features built in that won't let you drain your batteries. I really do love the Genesis system and am in the process of planning out a build for a JT that I have ordered which will have the ACCC on it. I am trying to find out if I can run the Genesis Gen 3 setup for just the electronics I will keep running in my Jeep especially when I am off grid and linking it to a "house" Lithium-Ion battery system via a redarc system for the camper (with dedicated solar) which will also have my fridge and more than likely other electronic devices that will require power.

My question to you, or anyone else for that matter, have you looked into doing something along those lines? I like to spend as much time as I can off grid and I would rather not have to worry about cranking my vehicle every other day if I am somewhere I plan to stay for a while. I am one of those people who would rather be over engineered and have something and never really need it, than to need it and not have it.

I guess it depends on what all you will have on the hooked to the Genesis setup. I have been getting the "Aux buttons not available, battery charging" warning a few times this winter even though I have the Cascadia panel trickle charging the batteries so not sure how much I would want to run off of the Genesis alone.
