Do I have to take it back now, after mentioning Bronco?
Brands usually don’t worry about the customers they already have, i.e. the fan boys like some of us who have had multiple Jeeps and wouldn’t consider anything else when it comes time to get a 4x4.

Then you have people new to 4x4 or getting back into it, brands spend billions to get new eye balls on their products.

So no, you’re just trying to be an educated consumer. When there are multiple options for anything, companies have to compete with their pricing, features and of course hopefully, quality.

People on both sides of the Bronco/Jeep argument will give you some valid points as to why their brand is superior, but it’s all subjective. I take breaks from this forum and I’m sure I make others do the with opinion based facts.

Nope. Not great mileage. That's why when I thought you said it could get 25 mpg on stock 33s, I said no way Not even close.

19 on a very good day.

My current average is 19.4 on 2" AEV and 35" K02's @ 30 psi rolling.
My average is about 12 1/2 with the AEV 2 inch lift and 35s

If I’m lucky I’ll get 15-16 highway.
I don’t get disappointed with my mileage because I have never checked it, I didn’t buy it to get good gas mileage so I don’t care what it gets.

That's a large difference between you two. Combo of offroading taking the number down (doesn't explain highway), big weight difference, tires, psi, some computer/mechanical inefficiency gremlin... or antwon has a lead foot.

Hmmm, what can a Mojave not do on 35's? Lots, the same as most other long wheel base Gladiators can't do. They are not rock crawlers, Gladiators are at home as an overland vehicle de to their cargo capacity. If you want a rock crawler, get a 2 door Wrangler and be happy ;-)

Agreed.

There's a lot to like about the Bronco. I don't mean in a full or quality comparison as I never looked deep enough, with it not being a truck. But the build options, from multiple gear selections, to 35" Sasquatch package on any trim, and much more, is pretty nice.

Jeep's Recon package and 392 may have never happened without the Bronco, so it's a shame they took so long to get back in the game and bring back competitive pressure.

But alas it's not a truck, I'm not sold on the looks, and so luckily my indecisive brain doesn't have to analyze 3 options.

Don't have many rocks to crawl in Michigan that I know of anyway. At least not close by, so Moj makes more sense for frequency of use.

37 Jeeps in 51 years?! Not sure if I can trust your advice.

Jeep anywhere nice while in MI?

Not trust my advice ? Why not ? I've built every Jeep I've owned. Have done all the Badge of Honor Trails, yep every one of them. I've learned from more than one mistake since Jeep one. Have had two of my Jeeps on display indoors at the SEMA show in Vegas.

Have done both of the Badge of Honor Trails in MI, been to Silver Lake Invasion twice, was on display there at the Rugged Ridge booth there.

Hmm, the Recon package started in 2017, maybe earlier. And the 392 was in the works probably before the new Bronco could be ordered, maybe before it was announced. I have had a Charger with a 392 and don't know why anyone in their right mind would want a 392 in a Wrangler or JT. Just too much crazy power on a high COG vehicle.

In any case, the reviews I've read have said if you want comfort, get the Bronco, if you want the best vehicle for off road, get a Rubicon.

That's the joke, I should trust your advice from all that experience.

I'll have to look into Honor Trails in Michigan.

Edit: that a gas tank connected to the step; is it part of the step itself or fabbed on? I've seen that flag somewhere too, is it body armor?

Then I was misled or mis-remembered, the articles I remember reading basically compared the Xtreme Recon to the Sasquatch like it was brand new. And that the 392 was announced slightly before Bronco, but of course both projects take years.

Pretty much. Big IFS vehicle vs ol' reliable.

The gas cans are 1 gallon RotoPax that sit on top of the Rockslide Engineering Step Sliders is a special mount that they made just for the 1 gallon Rotos.

The flag is armor from MEK Magnet. Since the JTs are mostly plastic and aluminum, they are made of a sticky silicone material that is much better than the magnets I had on my JK

Two door Wranglers are just the thing for the tight woods. Less so for real rock crawling. Longer wheelbase Jeeps are much better going up and down. That's not to say the Gladiator is equal to a 4-door Wrangler. The extra wheelbase and overhang on the Gladiator is apparent when the going gets rough.
