This trim piece fell on my left foot foot while driver yesterday. It has part #5zx23trmab and marked with a "L"..... I am assuming means Left? Does anyone know what this is and where it goes?

He's lucky - years ago my wife had a mouse fall on her left foot when she was parking her Grand Cherokee in our garage. On the other hand - the HVAC fan stopped making the weird sounds it had been making.

I had to remove the remains of a mouse that got trapped in the fan cage. The girl said that when she would put the fan on high. It would vibrate and smell. I found the mouse in the cage. Dead.

Exactly the same thing happened to me. A customer wanted to have the vibration and noise fixed in his Grand Cherokee. I pulled the fan motor and found a mouse, which I placed in a bag. The customer decided that he was unwilling to pay for "rodent removal", but he changed his mind when I pointed out that I WOULD put it back where I found it (I hadn't reassembled the HVAC housing yet).

My mouse was spun dried. Half of him was in the cage. The other half was pushed through the cage blades. Had to use a wire brush on him. Smelled so bad. That I just about lost my lunch.

Mine was probably best described as "mummified". Since the customer decided he didn't want Mickey back in his fan, and didn't mind paying, I gave it a decent burial in a trash can.

Been down that road on some of my prior restorations. I've had mice, wasps and even evergreen needles come flying out - or had to dig them out (with gloves and plenty of Lysol)

It looks like the cover from the left side that covers the bolts from the door frame.
