Double H came highly recommended from the folks at a local boot store but after 5 months, the soles are separating. I'll clamp and shoe glue them to get some more miles out of them but I figured I'd ask what ya'll recommend. I called the store back yesterday and they actually recommended Ariat boots. I'm very hesitant to go that route as Ariat seems to be marketing and designing things fashionable vs actual durability when getting shit done. Any recommendations? I don't need a steel toe and a slip-on boot style would be best. Any recommendations? Thanks in avance!

Timberland's work boot line (safety toe) has been really good for me; I've had several pair. I'm currently wearing a Redback chelsea steel toe that is one of the best boots I've had.

Thorogood, and Timberland are my go to’s. I was on my feet pretty much 12 hours a day/night for 22 years, before I retired, and they both were very comfortable. Held up very, very well, also.

I have several boots, my Ariat ranch boots are probably the most comfortable. I can wear them 10 to 14 hours a day.

I recently purchased a pair of Thursday mic boots. They’re more stylish than hard-core work boots, but they are very very comfortable. They might work for you depending on your job type. I wear them as a daily shoe and when wheeling.

And Red Wings are often a pretty good solid boot as well.

I can wear them 10 to 14 hours a day ... have two pairs, one is a wide width other is half size bigger (for winter socks) .... the Ariat have been the best for comfort and long term wear (both pairs are over 5 yrs old ... got my $$ out of them

Look at the Danner brand and see if they have something you might like. I have worn them for work for years. They can be a little stiff until broken in, but they are very comfortable to wear.

I'm a female in the construction industry, so my take will be different from most everyone on here.

Timberland Pro - They make my feet raw to the point of bleeding. I don't see how people like them.
Tiga is as bad as Timberland Pro.

Keen is really good and by far the most comfortable work boots I have ever bought.
Next in line to Keen is Redwing. If you go with Redwing, make sure you get a custom fitting.

I agree. Ariats are great. Mine are 6-8 years old. Non slip sole that still looks new. Leather has aged perfectly.

When I first got them, they were really tight, after about a week, the perfectly molded to my feet, and just are the most comfortable thing I can wear.
