It's hard to pinpoint on emissions. I know some done a delete and had nothing but issues but some who did not had no issues.
If my 3500 d max has issues I may delete.
I don't mind gas engines, my 2 f450s are v-10s which does good but not fast like d max.
I had a 94 460 with 420k miles and still did not use oil.
I hope they choose to repair the 3.0. I do like my 3.6 iny 2 door but I love the torque if 3.0

The cp4 is a very hot topic on the Duramax sites. $10k dealer bill for some repairs. Every time I start the truck I wonder if today is the day my fuel pump grenades. I'm sure some here feel the same with the 3.0.

I feel ya, but life is too short to be worrying about a damn fuel pump. Just enjoy the ride while it last.

Yes, the CP4 is the biggest problem. It is a bad design and can eat itself and destroy/ruin injectors, fuel rails and other fuel related hardware with metal when it does. Dodge/Cummins went back to a CP3 pump and the aftermarket is offering CP3 conversion pumps for Duramax and Powerstrokes but we most likely won't see one. I am interested to see what Jeep does for the "recall". I have read they are only going to inspect for metal particles. If none are seen call it good, If that is their fix I intend to purchase an aftermarket pump that has been modified to correct the CP4 failure point along with an aftermarket tune by GDE or others and keep rolling.

It's usually takes hardwares redesign to fix a bad designed hardware. It has been nearly a year since the recall notification, i highly doubt that they will just inspects.

Reason why I sold my Chevy ZR2 Bison Diesel... started getting codes... it was the start of nightmares that I did not wanted to deal with. Reason also why I did not wanted to go with another diesel engine vehicle... as much as I like them, the modern units are just not reliable to give me the peace of mind...

I hear you--I was dead set on getting a diesel to help pull my relatively small trailer. Test drove a black rubicon diesel and really liked it. Then started watching the You Tube videos with owners who were pulling the same weight I was planning on pulling and all of the problems they were having. Then, still determined to go down that road, while looking I saw a half dozen listed with low miles and in excellent shape at very reasonable prices--all diesel, all lemon titles........Ended up getting the 3.6. It might struggle a bit moving weight up hills, but at least I have confidence that it's going to get me there(eventually).......

I looked into buying a used Wrangler or Gladiator Rubicon EcoD with under 50k miles within a 500 mile radius. I found a few and all but one had multiple previous owners and/or salvage titles.

I’ve had the 3.6 for about two months now and after 3500 miles I am used to the way it drives and am happy with it.

Go to Google or Bing and type in "lemon law washington state"
That's the only way to get legit good info as things VARY with state.
Look for the WA AG site, not some legal firm's site. Your state AG will have FACTS. Contact them if you have questions.
Your state's government will have current laws and rules posted, other things, other sites, may be out of date.

A buy back can occur in any number of ways but the end result is the manufacturer buys your vehicle from you. In my case I was issued a check by FCA which covered my original loan amount less depreciation. In turn, I paid the vehicle off and the title was sent to them and I kept the difference.

My dealer helped to expedite the process and got me into another vehicle and helped with the red tape. Mine was easy and straight forward as there was an open recall on the HPFP and mine failed.

In any event, there are time and mileage restrictions on a lemon which you may have. The typical thresholds are 24 months or 24k miles.

A good dealership may be involved because they care if you come back or not (or should).
My sales guy makes it a point to make contact with me any time I am in for any service. He follows what comes into the shop and asks how things are going. It's not an absolute that they will - but they have a horse in that race, too.
