Wow.
Never been there but it looked like he was too far right and bounced on that hump at the top. A little left looks smoother.

That's a TOUGH hot tub. LOTS of vehicles can't make it out of that one.

I had to chuckle to myself as I watched the clip again: I always tell my wife when we go out wheeling that she needs to wear proper shoes. I always tell her, especially when we are out crawling the Wranglers, and less so when we are camping/overlanding in the Gladiator, that we need to be prepared to walk out; so, having proper shoes, daypacks, water bottles, etc.

Seeing the “bros” send it wearing flip flops makes me not feel so bad for them.

There are times when a bump is necessary to gain a little momentum
and
This wasn't that time
:CWL:

That tub is all about momentum. Devils is the steepest one up there. I've only seen high horsepower buggies make it out.

Long video but it shows the commitment it takes to get out of that one. Momentum is key. Too much and you bounce back down in there and start wondering what to do with what's left of your rig. Too much and you won't get past that passenger tire ledge. Not enough, you're pulling winch cable after a few tries. You can see how steep that is when the red JL tries to stop on the slope. It's just not going to happen.

Mickey's is a little further down the hill from Devils Hot tub. Less than a 1/4 mile or so, probably 1/8 mile? It's much more realistic for a full bodied rig to get out of that one.

I recorded one of the tour vehicles doing this obstacle correctly when I was there last week

That's Mickey's tub. Devils is about twice as deep.

I think that's Richard Mick driving? I think he's a grandson but am not 100% on that. Definitely related to Dan Mick. I'll see if I can identify the driver later tonight?
