Wife is looking at metal inner fender liners, she is lifted 4" on 37's.... no rubbing or problems, so what is the point of buying aftermarket inner fender liners?

Mostly what @RodRecket said. Most people get them because they look cool. I primarily got the American Adventure Labs versions because they’re designed to be removed easily without plastic Christmas tree plugs that break and to future proof for 40s. I had pulled back my stock liners enough that I had damaged them, lost plugs, etc. The stock liners run as one piece from the underside of the outer fender to the frame, so it’s difficult to reach the engine compartment with them disconnected at the bottom. In theory the AAL liners solve this issue, making access easier if you work on your own vehicle a lot. Reality doesn’t bare that out completely and there are trade offs. They’re a real pain to get on and off, and mine make a lot of noise (others claim they don’t) and promote frame rust where they make contact during body flex. When you attach a rigid panel that mounts to the body and the frame, you’re asking for problems, so fundamentally the design is flawed. I’d pay money for flexible plastic or rubber ones with quick releases over cool looking aluminum any day. I wouldn’t get these again and don’t recommend them.

Because they look pretty is why she is looking... unless you need clearance there isn't any other point...

But I will tell you that if you bounce a deer in there it will rip the oem fender and the fender lining both off. Sheared off so no damage to metal but it has me thinking about metal replacement for both.

Did the fender chop and needed inner fender liners. I will tell you, the fender chop combined with fitting the liners was a real b*tch.

Never heard of this company and both they and the retailers that sell their stuff are out of stock for what that’s worth, but these are plastic. I may buy a set and see if I can retrofit them to fit my AAL Dzus mounts.

I bought those liners. You can see them paired with my Rugged Ridge flares in this post. They're OK, at least the front ones. Had them for a little more than a year now and 15k miles later, the ABS plastic holds it's shape really well, BUT, that also means they really aren't flexible.

I had initially bought both the front and rear sets, but I had to return the rears because the molding on the gladiator is badly done, and actually REDUCED my tire clearance, hitting my tire on level ground. Tons of wasted space.

Kept the front's because Rugged Ridge doesn't make plastic fender-liners for the front of the Jeep, only the back.

At least those fit relatively well, but for the price they want now, you might as well get metal liners.

I won a set in a raffle and put them on my JL. It’s the only reason I got them. Absolutely no point in my opinion. The stock are better imo.
