Has anyone gone through a full install of the factory OEM LED headlights only on their Gladiator with standard headlights? I am thinking of doing the upgrade but it looks significantly involved. 25 pages of instructions, removal of front grill and structure, inner fender liner, many interior components, adding new wiring to multi-connectors x2, snake wires thru firewall, RTV reseal, re-flash the computer, setup and realign new headlights.

Just curious, if someone has done this, just how everything went with them. Never thought headlights were worth anything on my '21, and they are the same in my '23, but not sure I'm up to all this on the new one....

Thx, Mark

I did Diode Dynamics headlights and had to run a program that prevented light flickering and other issues since the Jeep wasn't standard with LED. Overall I like the Diode Dynamics version better than factory offerings. They don't have that crazy look you find in most aftermarket offerings.

The factory LED lights are really nice. I cringed at the price but after the salesman let me bring one home for a long weekend that was equipped with the LED lights, they were on the order list.

Go for it! It's really not that hard. I did it all myself and if I can do it then literally any one can (I can screw up a pb&j sandwich)

You will need a Jscan or Tazer, The dealer could not figure out how to flash the computer to recognize lights. Alot of people on here say its because the dealer did not "try". I am friends with the service manger at my local dealer and he even contacted Mopar support and the engineer could not get my computer to change settings. ----I installed a Tazer and it worked in 5 minutes lol.

I just finished this upgrade on my 23 today. No wires to run as the factory now includes those stock. So the front headlights are a piece of cake. So are the rear they take maybe 15 minutes taking your time. The fender lights on the other hand take a bit of work. It’s not hard but if your doing it the first time I would give yourself a couple of hours. You will then need Jcsan or a Tazer to update the BCM. The stock halogen lights are a joke. The OEM led are amazing.

You already have the required harness you don't need to do anything other than install the headlights, plug them in, and program the BCM with AlfaOBD, Jscan, or a Tazer.

If you have a 23 it's not hard at all. Your Galsy should be wired already just plug and play. You may have to adjust the lights but its very easy with a long flat plillips screw driver. You will need a jscan app with the OBD2 to change settings. I would recommend getting the wire extensions for the plug.
Here is what you need:

TTXSPP Cable Adaptor for Chrysler... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08ZL4LRVK?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

OBDLink MX+ OBD2 Bluetooth... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07JFRFJG6?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

Thx all. Sounding much easier than I first thought it would. Question on the Jscan or Tazer work. Does that to be done before the lighting system is used at all, or would I have to keep my lights off completely if I had to use the truck until I did the software changes? In other words, suppose I did the hardware upgrade at home and decided to have Jeep do the reflash thing if it's cheaper than buying the equipment. Can I drive it to them, with the headlights on automatic? Or do they have to be off completely until it's reflashed? Don't want to fry anything! Thank you again for all the great input. Mark

You can blow up LED fog lights if you don't change the setting prior to turning them on headlights I don't think so but you should just wait till you have everything

The cost for the dealer to do it is usually more than buying a Jscan setup.

Buy it now while the pieces are on sale.

I'm going to get these items. Is there anywhere that step by step instructions can be found to do this procedure in the Jscan iPhone app, when I get to that point? Thx again, Mark
