HAs anyone been able to get UConnect to allow WIFI

I bought my Gladiator Rubicon in Feb of this year, and to date, I have not been able to have any dealer provide WiFi as it is shown to have service but we can not connect. We work from the Jeep most every day and have to hot spot every time from our phones.

Wi-Fi in the JT is a separate subscription that has to be purchased and is managed by AT&T. They stopped selling it for a while due to a compatibility issue with some of the head units. Some of those with a subscription, that had issues, found they could get it working again by rebooting the head unit. There should be a few threads in here about it.

Wouldn't recommend it. Lots of connectivity issues and the overall quality of service is poor. Better to get a physical device; hotspot hardware, and run the data plan through that. Versus the Uconnect head unit. Save yourself the trouble in my opinion.

Many will usually get a better deal with a dedicated hotspot from the service provider for their phone. Many have plans that allow their phone to be a hotspot without the additional monthly fee.

My AT&T Jeep hotspot works great now. When I was first using it, after the first year, it stopped working, and then after about 6 months, Jeep flashed my UConnect software remotely, and suddenly my hotspot was working again. It has worked ever since.

AT&T gave me 6 months free because of that, and I've re-upped with them yearly. I pay about $200 per year for the service.

Mine works fine, even got it setup with my cell phone plan in Canada on Bell so I can share the data, works pretty good.
