Chrysler warranty direct is just another dealer website. To my memory they are 300 or 400 over cost.

Tom Winkels at Hayes Jeep is 100 over cost and [email protected] used to offer 50 over cost, and probably still do.

To my memory, you can buy an extended warranty direct from Chrysler at mopar.com, but the dealers mentioned above have better pricing.

I may send one or both of them a message and get quotes. Any issues using that warranty at another dealer though? Thanks!

I would be weary of calling them an actual warranty. I think it has been mentioned before that they are more like insurance.

So the most important thing to do when shopping for them is to ask a lot of questions and actually read the paperwork.

I am actually in the same boat as you are. I am shopping for an exended warranty/insurance for my truck, so I have a lot of reasearch and reading to do. I'm also looking forward to any feedback for you in this thread also. :D

I’ve been contemplating getting the Mopar extended warranty through Granger. Pricing looks the best with them. And to check, they just went live with their website where you can build a quote

this is the best option out there for most. My dealer actually beat the price slightly as mine was a certified pre-owned so it was slightly different. Granger only charges 50$ over cost and it is a Chrysler extended service contract good at any dealer. It will actually show on all dealers systems when you go to use it.
I have had good experience with it on previous jeeps with claims.

Tom Winkles, agreed! I bought my JL, and bought my Gladiator warranty through him. Easy to work with, great price, beat the dealers price and was all online and easy. Plenty of people on here bought from him and it's where I got his name. Don't overthink it. It's the genuine Mopar warranty and you're GTG.

You're not wrong. Legally an extended "warranty" is actually a service contract, which is not subject to the protections of the Magnuson Moss Warranty Act of 1975. Makes getting extended warranty coverage on a modified Jeep potentially more difficult if the dealership or Jeep want it to be difficult. For example, a non-Mopar lift, a Mopar lift not installed by a jeep dealer, or a Mopar lift installed by a jeep dealer without specifically opting into Mopar lift coverage on the extended warranty voids the entire contract, which is not something that can happen with a real warranty, as a proper warranty can only deny claims related to failure cause by modifications, not void the entire warranty due to modifications.

As always: buyer beware. If you go in knowing what you're getting and more specifically not getting, you'll be fine.

I recently bought one through Granger's new website and it was easy and seamless. Agree that is the best pricing you're going to get on one.

I got one... I think if it makes you feel better, and can afford it sure. But, if I were to do it again, I think I'd pass. As others have said "it's really not a warranty"

So if you go crazy with mods, probably not worth it. Keeping it stock, it may be worth it. This is what I gather for the most part.

I’ve been contemplating buying an extended warranty. Does anyone have experience not only buying one, but using it? Do you have a representative you would recommend or would it be smarter to go directly through Chrysler?

Apologies of this has already been discussed.
It's like a winch. Mostly it just sits there, but when you need it, your're glad you have it. Many on here say don't waste your money, but others have used it and the repairs paid for the price and then some. It's relatively cheap if you go with one of the dealers with good prices. I got 7 years for five or six hundred, but haven't used it.

Well, let me tell you something about that Chrysler extended warranty . Theyvwant you to pay 200 down plus the first month premium plus they send a 3rd party inspector out to do a ride along in your Jeep you have to pay him 125.00 to do the inspection . If he approves it goes through if he dont it doesn't. I basically told em to go get screwed.
