I'll have my HK Off road front shackle mount kit in a few weeks so need to get the wiring done. Will not use wireless or any cut in/Diode kits. I know I can use the JL kit and lengthen the harness but would prefer a harness that fits without modifications. Ideas?

My MH is setup as I towed my JK before with a
GenY mega drop hitch 16k
BlackHawk All Terrain 2 10k
RVI3.

Thanks for any info.

Check with E trailer. They have a lot of different options and give good advice. I’ve used them on several projects.

Says it's plug and play. So no cutting.

  • 2020-2023 Jeep Gladiator
  • 2018-2023 Jeep Wrangler JL
  • Includes Hybrid Models
The simple plug-and-play design of CURT towed-vehicle RV harnesses makes installation a breeze, but these custom harnesses are also built for lasting durability. Each harness features integrated block diodes. These diodes isolate the vehicle's electronics from the RV signals in a way that protects them from overheating and short circuiting.

  • Will not fit right-hand drive models.
  • Plugs directly into OEM wiring system
  • Powers tail lights and turn signals on towed vehicle
  • Isolates towed vehicle from motor home

If your RV has the towing capacity to also be able to stop with the Gladiator in tow with out having to somehow activate the brakes on the vehicle being towed, then in my mind a simple flat 4 connector would be the way to go.

All one would need are rear running lights, turn signals, and brake lights, just like one would have towing a simple utility trailer. If a flat 4 can be somehow wired in to activate these lights on the rear of the vehicle being towed, then all could be right with the world, in that respect.

Just my honest opinion, for what it is ;) ;) ;)

Ditto on the Curt 58964.

--> Happened to finish an install of this product today.

Ran an electrical fish wire (18 feet of spring steel) through the drivers side frame front to rear, then hooked/electrical taped the 4-pin harness and wiring to prevent snags and separation from fish wire and pulled it forward. Used a large box frame opening hole at rear forward of rear bumper, and another large box frame hole forward just behind the driver's shock tower area. Surprisingly - no snags or glitches with fish wire/wiring harness runs, despite a few through frame bolts.

Used some 3/4" protective split loom material at box frame entry and exit areas, and in engine bay from driver's front shock area to front bumper to prevent wiring damage. Was mindful to not expose wiring to hot exhaust pipe areas and hot areas in engine bay.

I used the JL one on mine and although a bit more work in the end its fine. We still normally tow the JK but I setup the JT to be towed as well. I like the factory style of the Mopar harness.

I used this on, but added a power line to keep the battery charged while being towed. Install wasn't too bad.
