Anyone else randomly get ducked by Merrell?

So got home and had a small package from wolverine world wide, that was delivered by fedex.
All it had in it was this Merrell duck? Nothing else was in the box just the duck, pretty sure Merrell just ducked me via fed-ex.

if thats a dealer, my local dealer leaves ducks on the dash after services and it has the dealer information printed on the bottom of them. I guess for people to regive them out and its free advertising for the dealer.

My mother used to work for Wolverine back in the day and knew a lawyer that did work for Merrell. So I used to get some decent discounts for them, so I of course bought the Jeep boots with their publicity stunt they did. Well mostly because my wife wanted the pretty blue boots... and I had a decent discount so it cost me less then it would have been for the same non-jeep boot.

So wondering if anyone else who bought those boots got a random duck sent to them? I have a feeling its still part of that.

I was thinking it was from your purchase of the Jeep branded Merrill shoes. Impressive they send just a duck in the box and nothing else. I'd have thought they'd send them with the shoes..

Exactly my thoughts. That's why I'm wondering if anyone else got one.

Why they'd send it like almost 2 months after I ordered/received those boots randomly in an unmarked box?

I think this is ducking jumping the shark, when major corporations are using it for marketing, it's time to let it go.

The only ducks we ever got were placed on the LJR with an ad attached, so I have a dim view of the practice already. It's no different than finding a rain-soaked menu disintegrating under your wiper blade.

My wife had house filled with Ducks well before it was attached with Jeeps. Long story so far more other things to get upset over. But whatever ?

I'm not "upset" by ducking, that implies a level of emotional involvement; I simply don't give a shit and at this point view it no differently than flyers or other shit people put on my vehicle - meaning I'd rather not deal with it at all.

It's annoying, but I'm not "upset".

Meh live in woods near trails so usually off roaders is who are doing it to me. So yeah I suppose if I was getting ducked by a pizza place, I get your point. Completely different experience.

The Hooters in Wichita Falls Texas was ducking any jeep that came in. (Not Hooters Ducks, unfortunately) But something I thought was cool. No duck tags, just ducks on all Jeeps in the Hooters lot, not sure if it's still a thing or not, it was a few years back

So I strangely enough received this too and was wondering why. I got the Merrell/Jeep boots but the strange thing about it was it was mailed to me at my parents address where I haven't lived in at in well over 5 years...
