So do you shove that whole assembly down into the hole in the door and fish it out later hoping the zip tie will give you a better chance at finding it, or does the zip tie stay somewhere, or something different? I did just now go outside and look at it and saw that there is a 6-sided hex bolt holding the door assembly to the frame, so I know what tool I need and what to undo.

Also, do I put the bolt back into the hole in the frame, or should I keep it somewhere else like that thing under the drivers side rear seat with a s-load of slots for bolts?
I just went and took a pic of mine. I just put the bolt back in the hole and tightened it back down. You can see the end of the arm pushed into the door also.

The previously mentioned zip tie is a good hack. You’ll notice though that I didn’t do it with mine. I just use a pair of needle nose pliers to pull it back out.

Really informative pic. I recognize that stuff. I’d go out and fiddle with it right this minute but my wife had to take the Gladiator to work because the Prius battery was dead. I’m starting to think she likes the JEEP. I just texted her at work and said maybe we should sell the Prius and just drive the JEEP and she said sounds good.

This JEEP thing is infectious, huh?

Mic Drop!!! WOW. If I saw that coming at me I’d start waving a white flag.

That’s funny, because I’ve been seeing these Rubi OEM shocks take-offs on FB Marketplace (gvsukids turned me on to that site) and I thought, a stiffer ride would be even better. And reading about the Tazer, and looking at leveling and lift kits, looking at the biggest tires w/o lift kits on the JTS (285-75R17), rails or nerf bars, etc. It’s become my new obsession in 3 weeks. ✌

I don’t know about that. Mine is a 2020 Rubicon. Your newer version might have some trim piece(s) that mine didn’t. Someone else here may know. But while the bits and bobs may be slightly different, the basic components and their functions should be the same.

My dog uses a ramp to get in the Jeep, he's 13 and jumping out would be bad also! I just let him climb up into the front seat and he hops in the back. The rear door is not wide enough for the ramp to be placed properly, this was for both his old and new ramp..

Rubicon shocks aren't stiffer, but softer than stock Sport shocks.

I tried the front door and while the ramp seated a bit better the door was still over

I swear, you are like that little angel on my shoulder, and there’s a little me devil on the other. Thanks!

Mine was the same (I say was because the Jeep was stolen a few weeks ago, picking up the new one later this week), it doesn’t quite work perfectly. What I am getting at is I never found a ramp so narrow that it would sit on the narrow opening for the back door.

Well, 20-22 Rubi Foxes are soft. The Reds on the 23 are quite stiff in comparison. (Yes, I've had both, as well as 20 Overland shocks).
