Did some routine inspections and maintenance on my 2021 Gladiator Sport and found that my negative terminal is really loose. Tried to cinch down but the 10mm nut bottomed out.

Anybody got a quick fix that doesn't damage the negative battery post.

I am no electrician. I have to put that out there. But they make battery terminal shims you can get to increase the diameter of the post for these situations. Is it the stock battery?

Seems to be, Optima Yellow Top
Oh, yeah...I think I had this problem as well when I used a red top a long while back. It's all coming back to me. I used a different battery connector from Quadratec I think if memory serves me right. Not sure if that fixed the issue but I know I did it to get more terminal space for accessories.

I got some copper flashing that I can cut an inch wide strip. That should take up the slack.
