Got the EGR matte window visors installed now that I felt the tint was set. They look great, I REALLY like the matte finish over the usual gloss tint look, doesn’t look as “cheap” to me. Only other noticeable difference is that these are not transparent at all like the weather tech visors I’ve always used before. Not bad, just different than I’m used to. Between the windshield brow and these, feels like I’m rolling around in a military armored vehicle lol!

Weather warmed up enough that I figured I’d give it a wash and do a consumer grade ceramic coat. Also sprayed the underside with some fluid film, mounted up some Redline Tuning hood struts and some Rugged Ridge locking hood latches. The hood struts went on pretty quick, the brackets that mount on the hood are a little bit of a pita, but man are these sweet! Should come stock….

Hood latches are a pretty straightforward install as well, just requires a decent amount of fine tuning to get the latches and catches appropriately aligned and adjusted properly for tension. Pretty nice construction for $80 (after the $20 rebate from Real Truck).

Got the locking Mopar gas cap assembled and installed. The keying process was more straightforward and easy than I thought it was going to be. Great to have a little piece of mind now! Few more security things to go and I’ll feel good.

**Edit 2/17/24** Decided to print out a set of black mounts for the rock lights, I didn't realize I had a spool of black PETG which is why I made them orange originally. In any event, if you see this, plan on doing the same project, are in the continental US and don't mind the orange, send me a message with your address and I'll drop a set of (12) in the mail to you for free. Trying to earn some good karma :)

Hey man just curious why you went the rack with the dimensions of 1425mm x 1358mm instead of the one that is recommended for Gladiators which is 1475mm X 1358mm. Working on putting the parts together and was curious why you went with the smaller rack.

I didn't realize the 1475 was what was recommended for our rigs. Others I found on here had gone with 1425 and when I contacted Front Runner, the sales guy recommended this width to me as well. It's the perfect size, though 2" wider for the 1475 would probably be just as good.

Very nice purpose built build!
The grey seats are beach and summer perfection!
Thanks! People seem to prefer black (haven't got many compliments on the gray), but I am 100% happy with my decision!

Grey is awesome if it's not a work truck. We don't ride dirty.

Thanks for the reply. Looking at one of your pics i feel like the extra 1” on either side would maybe be over the side of the bed a little. I think i might go with the 1425 as well.

Where did you get the paper template to help organize the key parts? Been considering doing this and that might be what I need to get myself in gear.

I just made it in Excel, based off of what the guy in the Quadratec video recommended (though his recommendation to just sketch it out on a sheet with a marker would have been more than fine). Incase if helps you or anyone else, attached is the basic file I made.

I'm real happy with this addition. Personally, the peace of mind it gives me is WELL worth the $85 cost and the minor hassle at fill-ups.

I eye balled it this morning and I think you would still be good with the 1475. It would be close to "flush" with the side of the cab and bed. I took this photo for reference, though its had to capture perspective sometimes in photos like this.

Decided to start a build thread to document some of the modifications I've done and some of the fun along the way. It certainly isn't going to be the wildest build or the most exciting, but perhaps someone finds something useful from it even if just for a little entertainment.

Ordered 8/22/23 - took 143 days until the keys were in my hands 1/13/24. Most of my wait I spent researching, planning, and scouring for the best prices on the parts I wanted. 48 hours into ownership, I have just about everything installed and several other parts on order (after realizing that I want/need them after having the truck in person). During the wait, my kids also affectionately named the family Jeep "Nemo" which is quite fitting for the color combo and for our intended use, beach days!

From what I could find on the Jeep E-Shop, this is 1 of 16 Gladiators in this Punk’n/Steel Gray color combo and 1 of one in this color combo with the soft top! The gray isn’t for everyone, but I sure love the contrast and imagine the seats should stay way cooler on those hot summer days with the top down.

First photo (From my dealer the night it rolled off the truck 1/12/24)

looks sick!!! but 143 days! why so long? I got my 23' 2 weeks after ordering it. I also considered the grey seats but leaned back to black when i realized they dont change any of the other leather to match. Yours looks way better than i thought it would tho.

My GOAT Fabrication sliders arrived yesterday, got them put on today! They are very well constructed and very heavy duty. There was a little scuffing to the finish in transit, but nothing major, but I suppose it doesn't matter anyways as they're going to get beat up a bit being used as a step too. Install was fairly straight forward, but man, those body mount bolts are TIGHT! I have a beefy impact and still had to break out the 2ft breaker bar to break them loose.

That said, incase someone else decides to purchase these, know that I did have to slot the bolt holes on the middle and front mounts, so the bars could slide to the back to get the rear mount hole lined up.. Having to do that was what took the longest. Fortunately I had all the tools to do it, but something to consider that you may run into. (so make sure you have the right stuff to get it done).

Overall, very happy with them, just the look I wanted!

Maiden voyage on sand today! Got the inspection and permit at 9:30, was aired down on sand at 9:55. Brisk 30 degrees out, and was a tad nervous as I knew no one would be around to help if something went wrong, but still had fun and went off without a hitch!
