I'm getting ready for my annual paint correction/pre-summer polish and I keep debating taking off the rubi stickers from the hood. Truck looks the same as my aviator except I've added a 2" aev lift since. Will be going to 37's in a few weeks. Has anyone else done this? Regretted it after the fact? I think it will look cleaner but I'm not certain. Anyone have pics?

Did it a month ago, only regret is I didn’t do it soon enough. Will eventually do the same to the tailgate but that requires body work to get rid of the holes.

Thanks for the confirmation. I have to do brakes, oil and rotation next weekend. Will add this to the list.

I took the side Jeep and rear Jeep off, I left the Mojave on the hood. Taking the side Jeep off makes it look so much clearer.
In the back I am going to get a body painted Gladiator...

I bought a Sport S, one consideration was not having advertising glaring on the hood and tailgate! Go for it!

On the tailgate I removed the large Jeep, covered the two holes with Gladiator heads from another model. If somebody runs into it, I will fill the holes. Most every vehicle I have ever owned I remove the advertising: model, manufacturer, dealership stuff including the license frames. That is all my space now, not theirs.

Are you wanting it to look like a base model sport ? Rubicon is on there for a reason. I have never understood taking all the stuff off. Is the object to convince Jeep to quit making different models ?

When you say the "Side jeep", you mean the one right behind the front wheel? Is that just a sticker or is there a little pin it clips into like the tailgate?

Yes the one on the front fender. There are no holes behind it.

You can buy the RUBICON decal, so if you remove it and regret it, you can buy another one and put it back on.

I bought my JTR used and the previous owner took the decal off. I drove it around as a “stealth” Rubicon for awhile but then added the sticker back because I like the way it looks.

Jeep can still make all kinds of trim, equipment levels, and it would show in the VIN.

Meanwhile, you have to show me and other Jeepers with giant letters that you paid more for that stuff? I show you I don't need all that "stuff" by purchasing a Sport S. Does all the things I ask of it. Suits me just fine and shows I am smart enough to purchase just what I need not what I need for show.

How many Rubi's and Mojave never see dirt and are just for show? I refused to buy the stocked higher models at the dealership, I ordered. Oh, how they pushed the higher models, no thank you. Did the 1941 Jeep have all that fancy stuff...not. Did the Willy's have all that stuff...not.
