Does anyone know the Ride Height (resting on the suspension) eye to eye length for a Mojave front and back shocks?
I forgot to measure mine before I lifted it.

Measure mined, 19.5" in front and looks like 21.5" in back. Rear is harder to measure due to the fender liner being in front of the bolt. I measured bottom of bolt to bottom of bolt, which should give what you need. I am stock but with a Line-x bedliner and Bak X4s revolver cover in back.

I guess they vary from Mojave to Mojave. Another member here has 20.5 eye to eye on the front...

That is why I posted what I have done to mine. That extra weight can impact ride height. Bit surprised that PW45 had a 1/4 on mine, I don't even have 1k miles on it yet.

With the Mojave shocks I wonder what is the acceptable ride height range to be in. It looks like out Mojaves vary a bit. I wonder if that is why some people love their Majave suspension and other say it is only so so ..

It could be some of our ride heights are on the boarder of going into the harsher spot. I read in one post that they is about 1 inch leeway. But with only 8 inches of Total travel that will leave some on the edge ..

Bypass Zones
There are two compression ports and one rebound (extension) port. This is a common setup so that the travel towards bottoming out is dampened in two progressive stages.
  • Zone 3: 1 7/8” from full compression
    • Zone 3 is very firm to prevent bottoming out
  • Zone 2: 2 7/8” from full compression (1” from Zone 3)
    • Zone 2 is slightly more firm than the ride zone to slow the compression before hitting Zone 3
  • Zone 1: 1/4” from full extension (4 3/4” from Zone 2)
    • Zone 1 is to prevent the shock from slamming into full extension
  • Ride Zone: this zone is implicit based on Zones 1 and 2 above and lives between 2 7/8” and 7 5/8” of extension - 4 3/4” travel.
Zone Travel
I measured that my Mojave (YMMV) sits level on the ground at 3 1/2” from full extension, or 4 3/8” from full compression. With that in mind, in my opinion these are the most practically useful measurements to determine proper use of the bypass zones with lifts/levels:
  • 2 1/2” uptravel from ride height to Zone 3
  • 1 1/2” uptravel from ride height to Zone 2
  • 3 1/4” downtravel from ride height to Zone 1

Jeep Gladiator Stock Mojave Eye to Eye Measurements? IMG_2403
How can this be confusing?

just kidding. The most useful info is “stock rides ~3 1/4” from full extension, ~4 1/2” from full compression.” Stock they run a little extended past midway point so they have a little more room for compression when hitting bumps at speed.
My notes at bottom are from when I first changed the shocks out, had stock springs with AEV spacer lift and shock extensions. I’m heavy so they were riding a little low. I added Clayton springs and am closer to ~stock shock travel with the shock extensions now.

So from the factory our Mojaves don't sit at optimal ride heigh?

Front is 15.75 to 23.75 Optimal Ride Height 20.25

Rear is 17.75 to 25.75 Optimal Ride Height 22.25

I think I am doing something wrong here with the math...

Maybe Jeep’s optimal and a dune-runner’s optimal are slightly different?
