i’d pop over to a local “free alignment check” place just for peace of mind…In both our cases it’s also happening in the rear. No adjustments back there with stock control arms on mine.

i have a few thousand on mine and they are quiet and have no wear problems. What offset wheel are you running them on? also did you have them roadforce balanced? cus MT says explicitly NOT to do that.Tire shop noticed today that my 37 Baja boss's with around 400 miles on them are all showing "choppiness" or uneven tread wear on inner blocks. Air pressure is right, alignment is right, no off-roading , no hard acceleration or sharp curves/turns, nothing but easy daily driving.
The choppiness is obvious on a couple of the tires but is present on all of them.
Tire shop offering to warranty them out an put a replacement set on but want me to either go with the same tires or they suggested TOYO's with less mileage warranty.
Does any of this issue with the M/T BB At's sound familiar? Anyone experience this? Really like the tires, so far, but at 400 miles with choppiness showing up already don't know if I would risk it.
Mickey did tell me that when I’m towing that I should inflate the rears up to 35ish, just while the trailer is hooked up. I do do that and it works great. The extra weight ensures that I still get good tread contact. I lower them when I arrive wherever, and detach.I found this chart on their website but it’s showing the max load at that pressure. Fully loaded down for camping my truck was 6300 lbs so at 25 psi the tires can more than handle that, but IDK if I want to run 25 all the time.

I sent them an email last night telling them about the issue so I’ll see if they respond.
You are correct. Mickey T verified pressure is too high I am supposed to be at 28 psi.A friend of mine bought the same tires and initially didn’t like the ride. He lowered the pressure to 27 and then loved them. But it’s specific to the tire. Another friend has bb at’s in 35” pizza cutters and Mickey recommends 40psi for him. Every tire is different.
Where do you see "NOT" to do roadforce ?i have a few thousand on mine and they are quiet and have no wear problems. What offset wheel are you running them on? also did you have them roadforce balanced? cus MT says explicitly NOT to do that.
Where do you see "NOT" to do roadforce ?
OP:
courtesy of bridgestone: Heel/toe tire wear: This happens when one side of the tread blocks is wearing faster than the other side circumferentially. When you run your hand over the tread blocks, they will feel like saw teeth. Heel/toe wear typically occurs in a shoulder rib and is often caused by excessive positive or negative toe.
Do we know what their definition of excessive is?
I haven't seen it on official paper. but multiple threads on this forum state to not too and Discount Tire doesn't roadforce them and that was the reason given to me when i had them mounted.Where do you see "NOT" to do roadforce ?
Important because I ordered direct replacements for the Baja Boss's this morning.

You stated "cus MT says explicitly NOT to do that". So are you saying that MT did not explicitly state that and that you saw it in the forums?I haven't seen it on official paper. but multiple threads on this forum state to not too and Discount Tire doesn't roadforce them and that was the reason given to me when i had them mounted.
I spoke with M/T this morning the tech person told me they need to be at 28 psi for proper wear.I have about 5k miles on my BB AT's with no issues at all. They are wearing evenly and are nice and quiet on the road. Coming from BFG Mud Terrains its like I'm driving a Cadillac, LOL. I'd definitely buy these again. Mine are 35x12.5-17 and I run 35 psi cold.
Discount Tire tech said MT states not to road force balance just normal balance. I haven't found anything on the MT website to match. I'm referencing the other threads on forum cus when people to roadforce they have issues like yours or howling. sure its word of mouth but I imagine the tech didn't just make that up on the spot. On top plenty supporting stories. You stated "cus MT says explicitly NOT to do that". So are you saying that MT did not explicitly state that and that you saw it in the forums?
what he said.To reply to the road force balance question, I was told directly by Mickey Thomson not to road force balance the Baja boss ats. I can’t speak to other tires.
I am thinking the only balancing machines I ever see at Discount Tire are roadforce machines. To reply to the road force balance question, I was told directly by Mickey Thomson not to road force balance the Baja boss ats. I can’t speak to other tires.
I believe you. Thanks for the heads up!Discount Tire tech said MT states not to road force balance just normal balance. I haven't found anything on the MT website to match.
