I had a basic wood shop teacher in 9th grade send me to the advanced wood shop next door to get a wood stretcher. The teacher over there took me back, and had a few words with my teacher. I took advanced woodworking the next 3 years, until I graduated. When I was finishing up my last project of my senior year, my teacher, (the same one who took me back to my shop in 9th grade), told me it looked great, but it looked like I should have used a wood stretcher on one of the corners. I had no idea he still remembered that. He was a hell of a good teacher.
