And now more information - the lease was based on cloth, but the leather added to the VIN after the lease was signed?

Finally, even more information.
To be fair the only question I was asking is whether or not you can put sport S seats from a 2024 into a 2021, lol.

None of this later un-solicited knowledge dump is at all related to that question.

And the answer is fitment, yes, but the seats would be acting by more air bags and other changes to the safety of the vehicle. So operationally, electrically, it's a question. Will they function with the new side air bags? Who knows. Did they change the air bags in the seats over the years up to 2024?

They aren't just seats, they are an integral part of the air bag systems.
But for bolting them in, they'll probably fit.
Is it worth the hassle and questions vs. the cheap cost of putting leather in a 2024?
I wouldn't mess with it personally. I'd leave them in place.

That was my impression of what would happen and the only risk was that I would lose the cost of the seats if I turned it in. But Chrysler Capital says they need to be cloth, as that was on the original bill of sale. And that they will charge me the cost for returning the seats to cloth if I don't do it myself.
That's why you don't make major improvements to something being leased. The money spent is a sunk cost that won't be recovered, and sometimes you have to pay again to undo the changes made.

Several options do exist.

Get another set of seats that match the original (LKQ, Salvage) and swap them out. Truck will no longer match the FCA computer, but will match the Bill of Sale for the leasing company. You can then attempt to install them in the new truck, or sell them.

Buy out the lease and sell or trade the truck. That will eliminate any issues with the leasing company.

Contact the leasing company. Provide the dealer paperwork for the seat upgrade. Explain that the seats were upgraded by the dealer and the FCA computers reflect that the original factory configuration was updated to match. Maybe you can get someone to understand it will come back with better, factory approved seats and provide a waiver for the seat inspection.

And here - they take possession of the trade at the same time you take the new one - you never have both at once - again, check with dealer before making big plans.
I bought a Dodge RAM a while back after the dealership let me take it for a weekend test drive. I lived 45 minutes away and test drove it on Friday evening. The salesman said won't don't I keep it for the weekend and let him know Monday if I wanted to keep it. We drove my trade-in AND the Ram home.
Monday rolled around, they drove the paperwork to my house, we signed and they took my trade-in with them. SO conceivably, you could do the same thing and have a weekend to do the swapping.
🤷‍♂️

Maybe get ahold of the outfit that did the leather covers and see what it would cost to swap the just the seat covers between the 2 Gladiators.
