Sweet! Glad it's working out! Can't wait to be back there in 2 weeks. I usually do ramp 38 or 49. 38 is only a mile south of my house. Whether I mosey down to Frisco depends on wind / surfing / fishing conditions.

So this is great. Now my local dealer won't install my aftermarket clutch.

I'll be paying out of pocket, and funding it with the "inconvenience" reimbursement. BUt the service manager says that they can't install non mopar parts while the vehicle is under warranty. At least that's what the service writer said. This is a clear case of Jeep abandoning a loyal customer with a $50,000 purchase. I think I probably have some legal recourse here.

Find you a good 4x4 shop that does jeeps and take it to them unless your feeling froggy and wanna tackle
It yourself.

There's a semi-local dealer who had an interest in actually solving my issue, so the ACT clutch is going in today! My brother used to be a service manager at a CDJR and he said don't install it myself, just in case there's an issue down the line. (I'm not ASE certified). Cutting it kind of close, I'm picking it up tomorrow, 20 mile shakedown run back to the house, then down to OBX. I've got my fingers crossed, but the dealer has assured me he's done a few of these. I sked him to save the parts, I'll be curious to see what the old clutch looks like after only 5500 miles.

Hey, thanks for asking. I picked the truck up last Friday, pulling out of the dealership I already knew the ACT clutch was a completely different experience. Broke it in on the drive down to OBX. What an upgrade over the mopar clutch. So, like yours, mine still throws the Service Transmission light randomly. Sometimes it goes away on its own, sometimes takes a jscan reset.

On the beach, no issues whatsoever in Frisco, even though lack of rain has made the sand really soft. South Avon, which is one of the worst 4x4 beaches, it threw the Auto Start Stop disable once. Before I headed back from surfing, I reset it and it was fine.

All in all, I give the ACT clutch a 10/10. My wife (who's truck this actually is) says it feels the way a jeep should feel now. It was expensive, but it looks like mopar is coming through. They've offered me an 'inconvenience' reimbursement, which covered the cost of the clutch and installation. Hoping this is over with and I can get back to enjoying the jeep.

Lessons learned:

1. Upgrade your clutch. I don't have experience with Centerforce or others, but I can highly recommend ACT, both for product and customer service. I had a couple of discussions with the owner on this forum, and he was very helpful.

2. Until you get several levels of complaining down the road, Jeep is very unhelpful. But it seems like when they finally choose to get serious about the issue, they become responsive and will actually try and create satisfaction.

3. Carry a Tazer or Jscan tool. It's pretty helpful as a trail tool. I'm going to reach out and see if they have a mod that will suppress the 'service transmission' popup. It keeps you from monitoring other stuff on the dashboard.

That’s great that you’re loving the clutch!!!

as far as your service transmission light and especially the ESS light. Do a full 6th gear relearn and that may solve your issue.
If the shop disconnected the battery(which 99.9% chance they did) it may need a relearn.

P.S. beach is nice off ramp 55 just little windy today
