I could not resist!DO NOT watch the video of the Wrangler going down the slope at Black Bear, I watched it with my wife, she is a solid no way you are doing that with me or without!![]()
Switzerland Jeep Tours does Black Bear in a modified Ram 3500 with a platform that holds 12 people in the back, go slow and you'll be fine, assuming Black Bear opens this year.Has anyone here done Black Bear pass in a gladiator running 40” tires? Looking to go later this summer, but I’m not sure it’s feasible with the limited turning radius you get when you have 40” tires.
Here are a couple videos of Gladiators doing it. I am also interested in doing it. I am on 42x13.5R20 with Hydro Assist. Thanks everyone for their responses. I’ll give it a go.
Better not go just for that, I heard it will be closed all year.Has anyone here done Black Bear pass in a gladiator running 40” tires? Looking to go later this summer, but I’m not sure it’s feasible with the limited turning radius you get when you have 40” tires.
I did it in 1993 in a Chevy extended cab with a bed topper on Back stock all the way. The big tires may make it difficult but shouldn’t keep you from making it.I did watch a lifted RAM 3500 do it on Youtube. For real.
The website shows it as closed.Better not go just for that, I heard it will be closed all year.
I shouldn't laugh, I'm planning on doing Black Bear this summer and when I hit that spot I'm sure I'll be saying to myself "what was I thinking? Are my affairs in order?"
