Thx Redour5

Yeah, I was the one who posted my simple velcro strap solution. I've been using it for a few years this way and it has worked pretty well. Personally I think it is a better solution than those little D shackles, especially since it means you don't have a little metal piece banging around in the door surround dinging the paint, etc.

Here's a pic of the little strap:

Perfect... Will these work with the plastic. They are two inches wide is that OK? Or one inch wide? This is about the only two incher and the plastic ought to minimize scratching issues. A bit over 3 bucks off right now and I can always use some velcro straps at some poing. https://www.amazon.com/Reusable-Cinch-Straps-40-Multipurpose/dp/B01G4IVN4S/ref=sxin_16_pa_sp_search_thematic_sspa?content-id=amzn1.sym.8e63b669-02c4-4b0b-bc26-cc47ce4662a5:amzn1.sym.8e63b669-02c4-4b0b-bc26-cc47ce4662a5&crid=3ZGNMM0GVLSY&cv_ct_cx=Velcro+straps&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.Q1mZcnqldZTy9dw8dNEY9ytPETHWX5GaG7E5LqKsPHojVudhhz7YY9ksQ_FO6ZQEU8SK4fK4FRCb1o-0SDdMUg.1rughv_wLeqLX7RibpyzrhqJAF4T3Uv1Sm9y3DWptN4&dib_tag=se&keywords=Velcro+straps&pd_rd_i=B01G4IVN4S&pd_rd_r=39e8165f-2f69-4134-a44f-f0099ad01e54&pd_rd_w=WPP2l&pd_rd_wg=9DWji&pf_rd_p=8e63b669-02c4-4b0b-bc26-cc47ce4662a5&pf_rd_r=CHW13XZEGMENRVBE1GCY&qid=1717252581&sbo=RZvfv//HxDF+O5021pAnSA==&sprefix=velcro+straps,aps,126&sr=1-1-364cf978-ce2a-480a-9bb0-bdb96faa0f61-spons&sp_csd=d2lkZ2V0TmFtZT1zcF9zZWFyY2hfdGhlbWF0aWM&th=1

If you have any issues, feel free to reach out via phone of email and I will help anyway I can. You can also text the company phone number.

Thanks, you might link that video of constructing them here. It doesn't look bad and it anticipates some things so you don't put something together and then have to take it apart again... My installer said, put it together and we can put it in in a few minutes and take out the OEM seats. He said all the expense with him is in putting the darn things together...along with the cussing. I'm good with that.

So those could work but here’s the caveat: that style of strap I have had bad luck with in the past. They are “stiffer” because the whole strap is plastic-y. Anytime I have used that style in the past, they eventually delaminate and fall apart.

Just go to Ace Hardware and get some of this:

Thanks... Oh, one suggestion, you might consider putting a couple of pieces of velcro for getting the back doors to open to 90 degrees like that one guy did earlier in the thread. That shouldn't cost much of anything, have some instruction on installing them. That part really seems to frustrate some people...

Hello grats on your seat delete. I am looking for a platform that will work with my dog kennel. Can you please tell me the height from the top of the platform to the upper left (driver) speaker cover near the ceiling, I believe this is the lowest point or constraint for me. My dog's kennel is about 28 and 1/4 inches tall and was hoping to find out if this seat delete would work. SHW says the platform is about 13 inches tall from the floor board.

There's just a tad over 31" of clear space between the top of the deck and the bottom of the speaker housing

I wonder if you could get a measurement of this webbing loop minus the quick link. With the dog stairs I use (with a Goose Gear, sorry Wes), I always leave the passenger rear door unhooked to allow the door to clear. If there's enough slack in the door wiring harness to open 90° or more, I'd love to get the ability to remote start and lock/unlock back.

I got stairs like that for my old 12 year old lab. They work great. He loved them,

Thanks, I had really bad health issues here a year ago and wasn't able to get installed. Doing it here over the next few weeks. MIne is still boxes, the ONE BIG six inch thick box. I'm seeing others with more boxes, but they also have the wall backs and drawers on one side. I ONLY have the 40% side drawer. Take care.

Duke made it to almost 15, and he used stairs or a ramp for the last five years or so. Our current lab/hound mix is about 10, and he figured out the stairs in no time.
