Is there an existing source of 12V "Ignition On" power in the rear of the truck bed I could tap in to to power a rear view camera that would mount on top of a bed cap?

Secondary question: If there is such a power source, is there a commercially available connector I can buy so I can insert the connector to access this power?

I prefer to not cut into the factory harness.

I am willing to run an all new wire if I have to, but why do that for a low power device like a camera if there's something I can easily tap in to.

There's a hot wire in the tow wiring. You could try one of the Curt T harnesses that connects between the factory plug and the bumper connector.

Yes, there is a wire that is always hot in the tow wiring, and I plan to use to power the interior lights in our Alu-Cab. Those lights have their own switches.

What I need is a wire that is hot only when the truck is in RUN mode, and off when the truck is in OFF mode. I also prefer this wire to be off when the truck is in ACC mode, but that is less critical. I just want my future rear view camera to turn off when I turn off the truck.

You can use the harness below to tap into your cigarette plug without splicing your factory harness. You’ll just have to run a wire to the back. Hot on ACC & run. I used this for running my windshield camera power.

For that, you'll have to run a wire from the front to back.

I wonder if there’s switched power on the fuel pump harness

I ran an extension wire from my fuse box all the way back. Used to have a picture of the setup and I think I posted about it somewhere but can't seem to find it. I wouldn't be able to get you a definitive answer till later this month. I did buy piggyback fuse set-up from Amazon and the worked perfect.
