Where to tap power from

I'm trying to power an acc outlet in the bed of my JT thru an on/off switch and an inline circuit breaker. I already have all the available lugs on the battery terminal used up and was wondering if I can tap off of an N1-8 fuse post or if thats verboten? If that would open me up for a world of problems, can I just start doubling/tripling up powering off the battery lugs?

Probably time to start looking at doubling up on a circuit.

No Aux switches?

Didn't come with them or the power outlet in the bed. I'm putting one in to power fridge with an on/off switch next to it. I need an unswitched power source to keep it running. The fridge has a low voltage shutoff built in already.

Run a fuse block off the battery in the engine bay. There’s plenty of places to mount one. Then run the line back to the bed, along the frame rail and up between the inner and outer walls of the bed. It’s easier, cleaner, safer and more reliable, than trying to tap wires. The cost and time difference is negligible.

Personally, I would avoid tapping circuits outside of something like tapping the brake lights to add a 3rd (low amperage, LED) brake light or similar cases, especially on these new CAN bus vehicles. The Gladiator already has enough electrical gremlins. There’s a grounding stud above the spare tire under the bed.

On my Aux battery system, my Fridge is on its own circuit. These fridges are very sensitive to voltage and amperage fluctuations. Mine just started flaking out because my chinesium circuit breaker is going bad. Beware, most are garbage. I absolutely would not power it off some other non-dedicated circuit.

Thanks for the advice, I made up a SS battery terminal extender w/ 4 extra 5/16" lugs. That should hold me for awhile. I'm running #10 wire to the box and back to ground on batt. I don't want to mess around with any future ground issues due to corrosion especially with all the crap that gets kicked up back there. While I'm on the corrosion topic, are you aware of any kind of aftermarket shielding to minimize the amount of crud that gets thrown up between the inner and outer bed walls?
