There's way more room.... for 5. Still only room for 5. Most aren't camping with 5 full grown men but if that's your use you'd be way better off in a Ram for sure. We've done roadtrips with 3 6' plus people in the back seat of the gladiator. Not as comfortable as the ram but doable for sure and that's a once or twice a year scenario for us. Usually it's just the wife and the dogs.
Comfort is a thing man. Even with two people plus two medium sized dogs, room is at a premium in the cab for us. I’ve taken 4 adults for a weekend and the bed fits all of our junk fine, but lack of USB ports everywhere, only two cupholders in an awkward place, up right seat position, lack of leg room, etc. makes it not ideal. Beyond that, it’s easier to be over payload too if that matters to you.

What I’m getting at is you can cut down a tree with a Swiss Army knife, or a chain saw. I’d choose the latter. The JT is a Swiss Army knife, I’m not getting rid of mine anytime soon, but I’d be a fool to think it’s just as practical as what OP has traded in his for.

Now you've got me looking at the new Hurricane Rebels. 🤔
They’re nice, I drove one not long ago... these truck prices are disrespectful though. MSRSP is up like 40% and interest rates on a new vehicle are up like 300%. A $1,300 truck payment is being normalized at this point. I can’t stomach that 💩.

Like I said, for us it's every bit as practical as we rarely have anyone in the back seat aside from the 2 dogs. Some times it's even more practical as a truck. We needed 14' boards for a deck repair a few weeks ago. Without a lumber rack that's either super awkward in a ram or it's trailer territory. With the gladiator, remove the top and lay them between the seats. I went from a full size ram rebel to the JT and have yet to feel like it's less practical aside from the rare occasion we've had 3 back seat passengers (and even still I don't have to ride back there).

It would be TIGHT in my garage. I'm not too concerned with payments and rates.

Tbf, 14’ anything is pretty much trailer territory for any truck unless you’re selling to have it run through your cab with the roof removed. 🤣

That's my point, in at least 1 way the gladiator is more truck than any full size.

When I was a kid I had a chihuahua that killed a German shepherd. The German shepherd tried to swallow him hole but and he ended up choking and dying. My 8lb chihuahua was more dog than a GSD that day.

Enjoy the Ram!! I like my JTR but I will probably get rid of it like I do everything else. It's one test drive and good deal away from being gone. I really need a bigger truck to be able to pull a travel trailer which I don't own yet because I will be travelling for work the next who knows how many years for work and a trailer will save me money in the long run.

This is the one of the reasons I added a rack to my JTM

I'm not a fan of racks, and might need to pick lumber this long up one every 5 years. If I need a whole deck worth I'll either trailer it or just have it delivered anyway. For a few boards I'll still argue the JT is far better equipped than any midsize or full size truck from the factory....if you think outside the box.

Well figured I'd post a picture to show what I replaced it with. Went to buy a used 2019 Ram Rebel, ended up with 2024 Ram Rebel. Almost $16,000 in rebates, fully loaded. Got the brake controller built in , Heads-up display, pretty much all the bells and whistles. The outstanding ride quality will take some getting used to and the freaking rear seats in the crew cab have so much room. It's gonna make the Grandkids happy and that's what's important me. I'm still heart broken over not seeing the jeep in the driveway but in the end it's just a vehicle and I'll more than likely fall in love with this truck the same especially after I put a 3-1/2 inch lift on and 35's😂😂😂.

Love you guys!!! Anyone on here who has my number don't be a stranger. I've already been looking at 2 door wranglers! It might be a year or so but soon!

Nice looking replacement. Can't lie I have been thinking about it as well to pair with an Alaskan camper.

You should look at the 2 door wranglers sooner than later. I believe 2025 is the last year they are making them (or maybe it's this year). I just looked and it's not even an option on their site right now.

I'm planning on finding a used one, probably a early model 2019 JL or last year model JK, 2018 to build up. I had already planned on getting another 2 door one anyway.
