Hi everyone! I just picked up a 24 Gladiator Rubicon X yesterday that didn't come equipped with the lockable storage under the rear seat. As far as I can tell, they haven't changed anything from 23 -> 24, but the dealer said there are no available parts to order that work with the 2024 Gladiator in terms of under seat storage. The part number I have is 6LT89TX7AC which I was told is correct for 2020 through 2023, but not for 2024.

Does anyone definitively know if that part number is accurate for the 2024 Gladiators as well? I'm wondering if Jeep just hasn't gotten around to updating the vehicle fitment for that part yet or if it's actually a different under seat bin part number for the 2024s. Thanks in advance for any help!

I've been looking around for something myself.... but, that Mopar is sooooo frigin expensive!!!
I just can't do it.....

I've been eyeballing the Diabolical Security Lock box @ $1199.95. But ouch....

I've been searching around for a DIY versions also. I just haven't found something that I'd be happy doing.

So, Your Dealership probably won't order the part for you?? And if it doesn't fit, they won't let you return it? You can tell them "I'm doing you a favor and will confirm it'll fit 2024"
Start pushing some buttons at the dealership...talk with the manager.

I took a chance with Slider Steps from Ironman. They had them listed for 2020-2022. I took the chance and ordered them for my 2024. They bolted right up.......

I think they'd order it for me, but I'm not sure if they have a return path. I am thinking about asking them to let me take a used 2023's storage bin and see if it lines up and the seats fold down as they should.

I'd honestly rather try to find a used one and switch the tumblers out given the wildly high cost. I guess if I find one cheap enough on the used market I might pull the trigger and report back if it works as it should. The only thing that gives me pause is I know the Rubicon X package has different front seats (powered), but I don't think they really made any changes to the back seats...

Keep us posted…. I’m not in a hurry and I might just decide it’s not worth it. The stuff I keep under the seats wouldn’t amount to the cost…. If someone needs some ratchet straps, some jumper cables, a spare receiver.… etc - I guess we’ll all be happier (and safer) they stole my stuff. 😂 It’s one of those mods that’s on the back burner.

It sounds like we store pretty much the same stuff under the back seats, so I may not purchase one either. I will update here with fitment if I do end up getting one!

If you go to Jeep's "Build and Price", the "Cargo Group with Trail Rail System" is still available and it still lists the under rear seat lockable storage.

Hi Zack,
That part number will work. Right now the for the 24's the suffix on the part number is AD but then mopar notes to use the AC meaning they are all the same.

Please let me know if you have any other questions.

I know it's not as big of a storage area, but all gladiators do have Lockable storage behind the rear seats. When you put the seat backs down, you can put stuff behind them. The lock is at the top corner of the back seat and uses the Jeep key to lock and unlock.
I typically keep stuff that is low theft risk under the seat and if I need to lock something, I put it in that area behind the seats and then lock the seat back.

If you are looking for an alternative I have the Underseat Storage Bin with brackets that lock the seat bottoms down to the bin. You get more storage space than the Mopar lock box once you have the brackets in place. You can choose solid or MOLLE base and front panel for your configuration. Very flexible depending on what you want under the seat. Let me know if you have any questions!

Sorry to bring this post ‘up from the dead’………

What did you end up doing? I’m shopping around again. I might just bite the bullet and get the Mopar. Still on the fence….

Question…. The Lock on the OEM box……Does the dealership have the ability to match my current key to the box lock?

@Diabolical Inc

I really like the Diabolical box and the price is comparable to the Mopar.
I see that Diabolical Inc is a forum sponsor. Are there any discounts thru the forum sponsorship? Sorry…I had to ask….😉

Sorry for the late reply - I ended up buying a used under seat storage bin off of eBay, I believe it was from a 2023 - fit perfect. I also bought lock cylinder kits and swapped them out myself. Worked perfect!
