I was on the fence about which model to get...stock sport and build it myself or Mojave.
I ordered mine, flew in and drove home - best ride EVER.
There is absolutely no doubt I made the right choice.

I must say, before I purchased the mojave, I thought the gladiator was the ugliest truck I have seen. However when I was looking to replace my ram 1500, I saw the mojave on a lot as I drove by and damn near stopped on the highway, turned to my wife and said "That One". The next day I took it for a test drive and was amazed how smooth it was. I was expecting stiff harsh suspension, I then had the dealership strip her naked and I was sold. Bought it on the spot, didn't hurt that price dropped 6 k overnight.

Every day I enjoy her more and more, she has proved herself to be plenty capable in everything I ask her to do.

I loved this Jeep from the day I purchased it. It is the only new vehicle I have ever purchased. I still to this day enjoy looking at it at the house or in the parking lot. I told my wife that I feel like I get to drive a Hot Wheels car every day. I think it has a very comfortable ride. I use it to pull my fishing kayaks and my camper and trail riding in Michigan and surrounding states. I have no complaints about this Jeep. I went from having an F150 crew cab and a Jeep JKU to just this. It is my daily driver and do not wish for another vehicle. It currently sports Mopar beadlock wheels, Mickey Thompson Baja Boss A\T tires in 37x12.5 17, an AEV 2' spacer lift, Mopar 4.88 gears (the best mod so far), and VooDoo aluminum rack for carrying camping gear.

Long answer to your question...

Always wanted a Jeep... wanted a Wrangler 4-Door Rubicon, only because I always heard and read that if you were buying a Jeep, it had to be a Rubicon 🤣 .

But I needed the bed for carrying house stuff and having to pull a trailer. I was never a truck person until I bought a Chevy Colorado ZR2 Bison diesel when it came out... then I was hooked on having that handy bed to carry all kind of stuff. I had it for a few years until the emission stuff started acting up... it was gone quickly after that because I did not wanted to deal with that. I went ahead and traded it for my wife's car. We were working from home and I thought that we could get away with having just one car. Lasted only 5 months...not only did I wanted my own vehicle, I wanted another truck or something that at least could pull my small trailer.

Wife, on the other hand, did not wanted a Jeep Wrangler as she had a bad experience with a Jeep when she was younger...

We went to drop off our RV for service and on the way back I asked her to stop by the Jeep dealer just to test drive one. So she could see, and feel, how long these Jeeps have developed from the time she was in one.

Get to the dealer and they only had 4XE Wrangler Rubicons.... I was not interested on that drivetrain. Walking by the Wranglers we see a line of Gladiators and the gray color caught our attention. Specially with the cool orange accents.

We take it for a test drive. I let my wife do all the driving first... First comment out of her mouth is "Wow, this feels and drives great... you should buy this one".

There was no way I was going to miss that opportunity! Here I had the opportunity to get my first ever Jeep!

I never got to experience driving a Gladiator Rubicon... so I do not know if the ride is better or worse... but I do enjoy how this Mojave handles the imperfections on the road at high speeds.

I too, found strange how quickly, going slow over bumps, it can hit the bump-stops. Had to come here to find out it was normal.

Only thing that I wished was different is the height of the bed... too shallow for having my cooler under the tonneau cover... that is it.

If I ever change it, it will be for a newer version of it, because I would like to have:
  • Front facing camera
  • Adaptive cruise control
  • Blind spot monitoring
  • Factory auxiliary switches
  • Heated seats and steering wheel
  • Alpine Stereo
  • Factory front and rear steel bumpers
  • Factory tow package
Anyway, I really like this vehicle. I feel like a frigging little kid every time I get in it. It still does not get old to look at it and go "yeah, that looks cool as heck!"

Nice choice. Truck looks great and like the Jurassic World logo. Unlike you, I did test drive a Rubicon. I drove both models on the same day and on the same test drive route. A few back roads with dips and bumps as well as highway speeds up tp 65. The Mojave was clearly the better driving vehicle. I have no desire to crawl over rocks so the Mojave was a no brainer for me. This is also my first ever Jeep and I love driving it every day. I was very particular when I started shopping and was very adamant about some of the options. I got everything on your list of things you would like to have except the adaptive cruise control. Blind spot was a must for me and a deal breaker without it. I installed a front camera on my last truck and loved it for parking and various situations so I made sure I got the factory front camera. I like to add lighting so the auxiliary switches were a huge desire. I have rear bumper LED lights, ditch lights and front off road lights with amber/white switchback LED's. Each is wired to the switches. The other great thing about the factory switches is you don't have to run wires through the fire wall because of the wires already being installed by the battery plus there are also the same wires tucked up under the passenger side dash. I ran my dash cam wires to the location under the dash for a simple install. With the ignition and battery wires, it was simple to have the dash cam come on when I start the truck plus it picks up movement to record when the truck is off. WIn win. I also wanted the cold weather package, towing and Alpine stereo. Figured if I'm going to get a new vehicle, I might as well get what I want since I'm old enough and worked long enough. I did upgrade some speakers for a little better sound. I agree that the bed could be a little deeper. There are a couple of times where I have had to flip up the tonneau for something to fit but it's not a deal breaker. I also like looking at my Mojave. Hope you get many years of enjoyment out of yours.

I hear you... reason I am considering trading mine in for the newer version with all the options that I want... I am not going to be able to add those to my current Mojave.

I can move some of the current mods to the new one and redo those that will need to stay with the current Jeep when I do the trade...

Now that I know that I am not getting tired of this vehicle, best to get the one I want with the options I wished I had...

Makes sense. Some options can be added (though difficult) and others cannot. Get what you want and enjoy it. Good luck on your future truck.
FWIW was down in Orlando a few weeks ago for 7 days. Had a great time with family that came from GA, SC and WA. Always took the family there for vacation when the kids were growing up. Great memories..
