Thanks. Love how low profile it is.

I tried to keep it below the roofline... hoping to avoid making the shoebox even less aerodynamic. The ladder is easy to remove for long trips.

The cover is built into the tent, so just unzip and open. It's remained dry, even with heavy rain.

I like it, especially for the price, but I don't have experience with any other brand for comparison.

The ladder height is sized for rooftop installation, so I had to drill a couple of extra holes in the aluminum for the locking pins. It was not difficult.

Super scary. I saw another video, not black bear, where someone with a manual on a deceivingly easy uphill climb, rolled back at bit and rolled many times. They had their wheels turned when they slid back a bit. Off camber and up hill. It was over fast. I won’t even get out of the jeep on a decent incline or decline unless I’m against something that’ll prevent it from moving. Scary stuff for sure. But I’m definitely in for black bear. It needs to be respected and driven with focus. No taking your eyes off the road, no alcohol, and the people in the other vehicles should be trusted friends with common sense.
I keep a harbor freight wheel chock on a lanyard in the bed at all times. It's a small thing to carry that comes in handy winching, changing a tire, for additional security when parking with a RTT on a mountain top. Fortunately, we at least have a cable actuated manual parking brake. I can't trust an e-parking brake on a steep incline with an automatic. Unlike in a manual that you can pre-load the transmission before setting the parking brake, the auto's just have a tiny parking paw holding you back, not nearly as robust as a gear train. I can't for the life of me understand how an e-parking brake is an acceptable solution for a vehicle with offroad pretenses.

It isn't like there is a whole thread with a discussion about it and more details...
It it really that hard to read?

Has anyone done Pole Hill Road by Estes Park? I found a few mixed reviews on how extreme it is. I have a stock Rubi and may make a run up these this weekend.

I have not done it, but I am pretty sure that it was either in the middle of or used as an attempted fire break for the Alexander fire this month. Any beta you gather will need to be real recent or I bet things have changed. I’m not even sure if that area is 100% reopened.

I have done Pole Hill several times. It is a nice drive. Not extreme at all. There is a somewhat rocky hill you need to drive up right after the trailhead, but it isn't particularly difficult and a piece of cake for a stock Rubi.

A friend of my wife’s is looking for a good Land Rover custom shop to help upgrade a used Land Rover for trails. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Really wish I could have joined you. Hopefully we can at least meet up for a beer and some food. It’s been too long.
