Love that. East Beach in Rhode Island is similar. It's a roughly 3 mile stretch of beach that's permit only and limited to 30 trucks at a time so it keeps the crowds down. Only beach I enjoy going to in our area.
Ssshhh :)

My favorite spot as well, Lot 4!

Unfortunately not. It's an annual $200 permit too so it wouldn't make much sense unless you're fairly local. The permit allows access to these areas:

And we complain about $50. seasonal permit.

So, my first time in Cape lookout. It was awesome. But expensive. Ferry ride was $427 bucks, OUCH! however 5 margheritas in I forgot all about that. Wish I had taken more picks. I think I have a cinematic my buddy I'll try to find and add. If you have any questions just let me know.

$50 bucks for the beach i was on was absolutely worth it. There were little to no tire tracks. most take the inside dune path to get to their preferred section of beach. We saw maybe 1 rig for every other mile. There was tops 25-30 trucks on the island. But 50 bucks for Corolla?! Thats just dumbass entertainment right there, not actual beach cruising. Just sit at the entrance and watch idiots get stuck cus the rest of the beach is damn near 2 mph traffic of Honda Pilots and clapped out dually work trucks.

Thanks for the reply …. Another dream state where I want to relocate to!
I don't man I though east coast was the bomb. And I'll give the south a college try here soon. But i believe I may have shown up a day late and buck short. Too many people, too much money, way too much regulation. North west seems to be the place to be the more I think about it. But if your coming from NY then I think you'll love NC. There's a lot thats great about it. Personally I'm thinking Idaho, Colorado or Alaska.

Seriously though, highly recommend 2 vehicles that are capable and all appropriate recovery stuff. You are on your own. There is nobody to save you and there is no hardball. And bring shade there is none and no place to get a relief from exposure.

Had to air down to 12 psi, and the trailer too 15 psi. When i just did the truck it was fine till we actually got on the beach which was dry and super soft. It dug in and after 10 minutes of screamin in 2 gear and moving 9mph I noticed the trans getting hot. After i let her sit a minute, I aired down the trailer and took it all the way down to the water line hardpack. Wasn't needed but was easier. Towing back to the ferry went with out a single issue. was fully aired back up before i got off the ferry.

Oh no the majority of the old geezers on here are either west coast or their ball and chain won't let them take the Jeep anywhere that doesn't have a cabana and some teenage pool boy named Enrique to ogle at. 😂 What ever shall we do with the influx the actual 3 gladiator owners that will actually go and odds are only one will revisit. (that one is me)😉

Truck to 18 psi and trailer to 20 (trailer is bias not sure I'd go below that.) 4H with traction control off. No issues even in the loose stuff it was unstoppable. I do run levelers and I think that helps to distribute the weight and my trailer is only a little over 3K dry. Still bring a buddy though.
