Evening (for me) all,

So I have an Australian spec 2021 JT Rubi, I smacked the steering stabiliser/Damper a while ago so its dented but still functions fine.
In the interest of gaining a little clearance I would like to relocate the steering stabiliser/Damper upward as its the lowest point. (probably replace the dented OEM one at the same time)
only suspension mod is Teraflex 1.5in spacers up front (daystar) .75 rear. (285/70/R17 AT's)

So question for the RHD (right hand drive)crew,
Obviously the steering (for want of a better word) is different/reversed to the LHD vehicles
Has anyone done the steering stabiliser/Damper relocation ?
What (kit) did you use ?
What was successful ? What was not ?
--If applicable what lift do you have or did that not matter like LHD JT's ?

Thanks in advance to assist me in planning

Cheers

Thank you @Gvsukids , I had looked through those (briefly if I am honest) but I am not sure if it applies to Right hand drive vehicles as well , so that was the catalyst for my question

Cheers
Why won't it work? How is your setup different?

I am not sure how much is different on the RHD vehicles, that's why I was asking if anyone had done it on a RHD and what was there learnings, but will look over those threads again , Cheers

Most relocation kits will work, but make sure you get the right size tie rod clamp for whatever tie rod you are running (stock or aftermarket). I bent my stock stabiliser on my 2020 Rubicon pretty early on a medium difficulty track and relocated it shortly after that.

The kicker with the right hand drive models is that the stock set up has a massive bracket on the driver side (well, more centre, really) of the axle that hangs down even if you relocate the stabiliser above the axle. To gain full clearance you'll need to cut it off, which is a pain but can be done (just be careful to not let the axle get too hot while cutting and grinding). Pics below to show you before and after of my relocation (Teraflex kit) and bracket removal.

SBR, Double Black or Jeep Konnection all stock the kits. 😎

There's the difference between LHD and RHD. Didn't want to speak up with not knowing.

Our's (LHD) has the axle bracket bolted to the axle, yours is welded.

With relocating the stabilizer to the tie rod bar, I don't think you would have to remove that bracket. Seems you would be high enough to clear, unless it's the relocation collar that hits.

Yes, it's definitely a different set up than the LHD trucks. While the bracket doesn't sit lower than the differential, it does seem to be located at a point where there have been axle tube failures, so my preference was to get rid of it so it wouldn't catch rocks and transmit a direct hit to the axle.

It is a pain to remove, but I do hit trails with a fair number of rocks so decided that it was worth the effort. I know some others over here who haven't bothered to cut it off, so it's not absolutely necessary to remove.
