No shade taken, although this could've certainly been posted elsewhere outside of our intro thread...

While the above generic flat panels are an overall footprint direction we could've taken, we opted for the minimalist approach with our platform and the subsequent attachment of our InteGate Plates to give the user a larger platform should the need arise.

Our material is 3/4" HDPE, and the other standard flat panels are either 3/8" or 1/2" material. We need the depth to nest the L-Track, and the increased cost + excessive weight aren't inline with our design or use-case direction. The fulcrum of the tailgate would cause an imbalance in lowering/closing the gate given the increased weight.

Further, when having a panel like you've posted, once you cut into it, it's there permanently. Our platform allows for specific plates to be attached for various purposes (cutting, hammering, etc) that don't compromise the structural integrity of the overall platform.

A flat panel is a great option for some people, but in our case and our understanding of how truck owners use their trucks, versatility is truly key.

I have a Weather-Tech tailgate liner. Would I be able to mount directly on top of that if I make and align the holes in it?

But yes, a quick few holes punched into the liner and it’ll quickly attach to the L Track with our thumbscrews + S*Nuts…

I got mine. Got it installed. Love the low profile. Ordered a bunch more s-snuts to make it more useful. Now I just need to start building the platforms for the different things I want to attach.. ladder... Chop saw... Air compressor.... Even thinking about a couple of padded seats for fishing, fireworks, etc

Ordered, but swapped the default gold magnetic plate that your link adds to the cart for the red one by deleting the gold and adding red manually. I sent you an email asking if you could also swap the gold "matador rings" in the free bundle for red ones. I try to match the red trim on my Rubicon whenever possible. Order number is 1031. Thanks!
