Well, that was fast… test drove a few Gladiators yesterday and couldn’t pass up the deal they were offering on this 2024 Willy’s. I’m a little nervous about trading in my 2020 JLUR, but I still had a good bit of equity and I’ve always peeked at the Gladiators. Hopefully, I’ll love the Willy’s edition just as much.
A couple of questions, I was used to the 4.10 gears in my Rubicon (with the 2.0T) … I had about a 2.5 lift with 35s…I now have 3.73 gears. I would like the same height as I had… so will a 2.5 - 3 inch lift with 35s be too much for a stock Willy’s? I know I’ll have to get used to the more “sluggish” V6 as it is now. I do like the way it sounds after driving that 2.0 for 5 years… never got used to that oversized sewing machine sound lol.
Also, it came with the Cargo Trail Rail system group… what have y’all lined the bed of the truck with?
Any other advice for a first time Willy’s and Gladiator owner? I’m in FL and don’t plan on ever doing hardcore rock climbing… just a lot of beach, trails and mud.
Looking forward to seeing y’all’s suggestions!
