My wife's JL has the Sky One Touch roof. We did add a hot heads liner to it, which helped with noise and temperature regulation. No issues in two years and multiple car washes, summers and winters. I find myself opening it more than she does when she's driving. We don't remove the cargo area windows ever, just roll down the back windows and enjoy the breeze. If they offered it on the Gladiator I would be the first in line. I haven't pulled the trigger on the sunrider yet mainly because I don't like the looks of it down with the hardtop and afraid with it open would be a giant net to catch our state bird, the mosquito. With that said I saw this product on DRC's Youtube as well, if it had any way to vent while still being installed similar to a pop up sunroof in the middle of it, I would buy one today!

pretty cool. I've been in tesla's, mach e and ID4 all with glass roofs, there is no way to get away form the sun. I actually like removing the top and just using the freedom panels as a hard Bimini top.

Naw, use calcium chloride and water mixture. It won't freeze.
Fill about 75%
Weighs over 11 pounds/gallon.

While I really like this roof and I'm gave serious consideration to it, there are 2 flaws that I see and that have been touched on here, so I'm adding my voice to this channel in hopes the company will address these.
1) it's says it's made of regular automotive glass, not UV rejecting glass. There's a big difference! I have the thermo glass in my Taycan and on a hot day, sitting in the sun, it feels completely normal on my head. This isn't the electrochromatic/variable tint, this is a passive solution. No power needed and nothing to turn on/off, so perfect for a removable top. This would address the heat build up concerns, making a shade optional for those times when you want it darker (not because you need it cooler).
2) it's not sound insulating (double layer) glass, so the noise levels will be as loud as the freedom panels without the headliner inserts. This would be a step backward for those, like me, that want the glass top for highway driving without the wind. You'll get the extra light and extra noise.

If/when they offer these as an option - which can be done with the same glass (which will be more expensive than single layer safety glass), I'll be interested, until then, I'll be hoping they evolve the product.

I hear that the Ceramic tint reduces the heat from sunlight. I have no experience but my step daughter got it installed on her Tesla sunroof and says it made quite a difference.
Maybe this would help with the Sky365?

Okay, this made me laugh. :CWL: I never thought about that to be honest. I will say when moving at speed, skeeters will probably fly right over because the airflow flows off the windshield over the Sunrider top.

In a weird way, when I put on the Bushwacker hood guard, that little lip on the front lessened even more resistance on the Sunrider. I usually close it with higher speeds, but I've gone down the freeway at 80mph with my top open. There's some wind buffeting, but nothing that worried me.

My sister and her husband say they didn’t have any trouble with mosquitos or bugs collecting in their Sunrider when driving.

I haven't caught any mosquitoes yet with the Sunrider open, but I did catch a bird last year. A cardinal flew into it and died from the impact.

I don't know what I caught, but it was cockroach sized. maybe a cicada? it dropped in my lap when i closed the sunrider at a red light and i freaked. luckily my doors were off at the time so i flung it out the opening.

Yeah, but don't they live up by Prudhoe Bay?

If they lived up there the mosquitoes will carry you and the truck away! I hear the mosquitoes up on the North Slope are friggin insane.
