The reverse camera shows a blue screen and does not display the rear view properly

When I start the engine, I hear a tick! tick! tick! sound around the dashboard. It sounds like an electric sparking noise. Sometimes, after I hear that sound and put the car in reverse, a blue screen appears.

Sure the popping sound is not coming from the speakers? Either way, sounds like a head unit issue.

Looks like your dealership is being lazy by not pursuing it further. No advice on getting that rolling again other than normal means of pushing it higher up or retaining legal council.

I had a similar issue with mine. I’d put the Jeep in reverse and I’d get the blue screen. Not as common an issue as some of the others but common enough they replaced it, no real questions asked. Luckily it was still under warranty.

If it’s still under warranty, take it in. Should be easy. If not, I think it was the camera and harness that they replaced.

The last time I went was on May 23, and there are comments written on the documents. I showed them a video, but they said they couldn’t replicate the same issue after inspecting the vehicle and told me to just take the car back without taking any action. While reversing, my screen turned into a blue screen, and I ended up with a minor scratch on the rear bumper. It’s really frustrating.

Keep good records and take it in every time there's a problem.

Does Canada/your province have any kind of a lemon law? If so, read up on it.
