I don't care what the U tube goobs say I really don't think there will be a V8 in a JT. The JT can get all the power it needs from a 6. I want some range with mine and the 392 is not there.

I’d take V8 torque any day over a V6 that has a torque curve like an old 2 stroke 60’s dirt bike. I personally don’t care if its the old POS 304 like in the 70’s makes no difference to me.

Jeep: Here’s an awesome 392 JT, only $100K. If they sell well, we can talk about a reasonably priced 5.7L

Sort of funny as the 3.6 blows the old 304 away.
If it's going to be done, make it a real jump.

While not a formal Jeep Source - this guy has been spot-on with many of his announcements in regards to Stellantis, Jeep and Mopar.

a plug-n-play retrofit 5.7 HEMI from Mopar would be my ultimate Christmas Wish 🤠

As he is former Naval Intelligence, he has a Network of insiders who trust him, as he never reveals his sources. That's why his accuracy is high.

If they offer the JT with a reasonably priced 5.7 Hemi I’ll trade that same day. But we all know they won’t. It’ll be well over $100K like the JL 392.
I've seen them with MSRP as low as 92K
My bet would be Rubicon only if they did a jt.

With Stellantis being all in on EV ($4B+) I think you'll see an all electric JT before you see a factory V-8.
The next gen 4xe will pretty much equal the hemi power and torque. The new specs are impressive. The new trans/electric motor specs are a lot better than the existing JLU 4xe.

I'm Waiting on the towing specs for Gladiator to see if it's worth the money vs my Diesel. If they're within range of the MaxTow, I'm game. They also need more RANGE. Then compare it to a V8 Gladiator when they drop.

Since they are hybrid, range depends on gas tank size. You have that full HP and torque as long as the gas lasts. The HP and torque are a combined rating.

Curious, I had a loaner JLU Rubicon 4xe for several days and it's battery range was only 25 miles or so... it was enough battery to commute to work once. I was on gas the rest of the time, as the battery couldn't recover quick enough while driving, and I didn't have the capability to plug it in.

I want a V8 Gladiator. Do I need it, nope. Would it be even more fun to drive, yep. I’m not really that worried about the gas mileage. If I was I wouldn’t have 37’s on my Gladiator being turned by anemic V6. No one would if they were worried about efficiency and fuel mileage.
I will say this…I will not pay 80-105k for a Gladiator, nor for a 392 Wrangler. If they put a V8 in the Gladiator then make it a smaller upcharge, say 8-12k like a full size diesel truck. That is a lot easier to swallow than 25-35k more. Just my humble opinion. As it is, it is cheaper to have an aftermarket shop do the swap.
Same here…. I would’ve loved to get a V8 in the 2024. But Nooooooo🙄

I bought the JT because it was one of the few trucks left with a 6cylinder. Just not feeling the turbo 4’s …. But then again, I’d buy that before buying hybrid or electric.

You watch….Ford will come out with a Bronco truck w/ a V8 before Jeep does.

They never go down to zero. They literally run as a pure hybrid once it uses that range. There is always battery left for hybrid use. When it says less than 1% of battery left, it's a lie. They hold back 3 to 4 kWh of battery for hybrid.
It was actually gas and electric if in hybrid .ode via the switch on the dash
