Just got back from the dealership and they recommended I get the "Fuel Induction Service" for ... get this... $450.36!!! What in the world. Is this even a thing?? Should I have considered it? Can a mom 'n pop mechanic shop handle this or is a a delearship specialty? And how in the world could it be that exepensive?? 35k miles on a 2022 Gladiator 3.6l

This is snake oil. You don’t need an induction service with 35k on a port injected engine. Read what the manual recommends. Anything else is basically them robbing you.

Brake flush, YES.

The rest - Sea Foam or similar gas additive - you buy it, you do it.

You don’t need an induction service with 35k on a port injected engine.
No kidding.
A lot of folks take these, and even earlier injected engines, 100,000 miles with no major service.
Top tier gas each fill, and/or a good injector cleaner product (Sea Foam? Never used it but heard it's ok)
But even that isn't required - just the good top tier gas, IMO.

Techron Plus with PEA or BG 44K with PEA once every other month on a port injected engine is more than ample can be done less based on your driving. That is all I do and if it sits for a bit I add Startron, actually I do this every fill up as it encapsulates the ethanol which cause the most damage.
