Great - would like one; however, PA Emissions Inspection will be an issue. What other states would this be an issue? Inquiring minds want to know.

People Work?
Hopefully soon buyers will get a factory option 5.7 and higher for those who desire more!! I thinj 2026/27 will be big years for Gladiator.
IF there is a factory option 5.7 I seriously doubt it will be under $100k

IMO, a factory JTR with a 5.7 will be about $90K plus T&L in calif puts it at 100K, possibly more. Well, when they are on the lots I'll decide if I want one . An AWD unit is a no go. They will probably do all they can to mess it up.

What exactly can a raptor do that this couldnt.... for extra points what can the JT do the raptor cannot since were making comparison
For starters, the Raptor can tow more and has a higher payload than the JT. Putting a V8 in the JT will reduce those capacities. The live valve suspension in the Raptor is built for high speed off road, something the JT sucks at without a lot of work. What's the point of V8 power and speed in a truck that can't use it?

It would be great to see happen. If they followed something like the Durango pricing structure (GT plus V6 to a GT 5.7), it would be roughly a $5k-ish difference in pricing option. I’d be willing to pay $5-6k more for a 5.7 per trim level if they could keep it reasonable. Chrysler/Stellantis seems to forget they used to offer v8’s in their midsize Dakota’s, albeit a 4.7L.
