I have spoke to 6 different dealers and all of them either say it has to be rusted all the way through or I didn’t buy it from them. I have contacted the dealer that I bought it from. They said it wasn’t corrosion and if it was, it had to be rested all the way through. They also don’t have a body shop that they deal with. They still need to take it somewhere else. My warranty expires September 27. I have contacted Jeep and they gave me more dealers but they won’t look at it since I didn’t buy it from them. I’m in WV. Does anyone have any advice? Here are some pics of under my hood of the corrosion.

So they are telling you, that if you can't see it from the outside, it's okay? I never even looked under the hood for corrosion. I only have seen it on the exterior surface.

They are saying it’s not even corrosion only paint defect and not corrosion till it rusts through

Check out some of the other threads on this - one from only a couple of weeks ago...........you need to contact a different dealer, or @JeepCares

On the underside, it could be sealer and not corrosion. They aren't always neat with that stuff.

That’s F%*%%% BS! Mine is doing the same thing. Brought it in to dealer and got same day approval for warranty. Just dropped it off this morning for the repair. Entire process from in to drop off was a week.

Kind of risky, but if you flick off the loose paint you will see either white powder or the dirt that they painted over. If you see dirt, it was there when you bought it. It could be seem sealer that got out of control and never cleaned off.

The paint should be protected under your 3/36 factory warranty.
Are you still within the 3/36?
Corrosion warranty is good for 5 years…unlimited mileage.
If you’re outside your original 3/36 - technically, they’re not wrong when they say “it has to be rusted thru” (at least, that’s my initial assumptions of how the corrosion warranty works).

It does look like ‘paint’ issues…..
If you’re still within your 3/36 factory warranty, I would continue to push the issue with Jeep and the dealerships. Keep calling them, keep emailing them, and become a ‘pain in their ass’ until you get somewhere. The shitty thing…the fact you have to waste your valuable time to push people to do anything.

If you’re outside your factory 3/36… and are tired of chasing the issue…... it might be easier for you to just fix it yourself. And it’d probably get done much better than what the dealership would do.

My '21 warranty stated:

Jeep Gladiator Corrosion warranty – desperately need assistance 1755003815313-pc

It does state it covers parts that have holes. But, it also states "Cosmetic or surface corrosion may be covered under the warranty". It also states that exterior finished-painted parts that someone can see when walking around the vehicle are covered for 5 years.

Sadly, he's suggesting you can't see these by walking around the vehicle......... and you can bet someone will catch those phrases and the word "may" in there.
But the other dealers - a bunch of crap. They don't even want to try. They can contact Jeep like other dealers have done to get approval, and move forward. Seems most of the stories here suggest that they have been approved once a dealer gets ups their level of wanting to be helpful and actually submits photos to Jeep.

So my main areas, were inside doors and a little in bottom edge of hood and tailgate. The dealer had no issue getting approval, same day in fact. I only brought it in because I had white starting on the hood hinges. The body shop manager found all the other stuff. This really feels dealer dependent and who actually values the customer.

I had a similar issue but on the hinges for the hood. I too went to several dealers and got the runaround. I finally called Jeep, they opened up a case, told me which dealer to go to, I went to that dealer, they said it would take 2 weeks before they could look at it. So 2 weeks go by, they call me!! And they said it was ready for pickup, I said, so what did you do to it. They replaced all four doors and the hood!! Talk about exceeding expectations. So, not sure which dealers you are going to, but I had a great experience. I would try the dealer's that Jeep recommends, they all have to honor the warranty.
