I understand all of you guys wanting to use tint to cool down your truck and save the interior.

That said, I absolutely 100% hate it----one main point of driving safely is to be able to see the other driver hence the restrictions on tint. So many here in Missouri are like you guys and max out whatever you think you can get away with.

Bottomline is when a driver your approaching is on the right or left of you with heavy tint there is no way to see what direction they're looking [or if they even have their head up off their damn phones]. So many times I've had these heavy tinted vehicles just suddenly pull out. Same with the non tinted but I'm ready for it when I see they aren't looking my way.

Like I said up front, I do understand why you do it.

I've still had plenty of people look my way and still pull out in front of me or just switch lanes for no reason, but I understand what you're saying. I just drive with the mentality that everyone on the road is a dummy and I expect them to do the wrong thing.

So, I took the easy way out …. I got the front driver/passenger windows to match the rear windows.

If you ask me…it’s perfect. It’s harmless enough that it hasn’t attracted the attention of the local police and passed inspection. Yea…PA has some strict rules about tint.
I did the same, and if I remember correctly, it was 25% to match the factory rear.

I'm in illinois so basically every restriction already listed, plus more, apply. I haven't decided yet if it's even worth the time and money with what little I can do.
I am in Illinois as well. I had my last JT tinted to match the rears. Never had an issue but it just depends on where you are and the officer. More times than not at least here the local police will not bother anyone. It is the state police that would be the issue more than not.

Somebody in a thread had tinted windows and then had black vinyl put on the B-pillar to make it look like the side windows were one piece, front and rear. It really looked great.

Anyone do that, have the pic, or know what thread it was in? I´m thinking of doing that to mine.

I don´t know what level of tint my windows are....they were done by the previous owner. I like them, except at night.

It is. Make sure it’s a ceramic tint. It makes the window much more difficult to break and will reduce the heat inside.
I might do it just for the heat, but the Jeep has actually not been as bad as my Dakota was. I think because of the vertical windshield. At least the lack of aerodynamics is good for something!

Sure, but my sunglasses block more than my state allows, should they outlaw them as well? Wait... I didn't say that... they might actually do it over here!

I have bad luck.
I see people drive around on expired plates for months or years. I got pulled over once the day after they expired (I had the sticker, just hadn't put it on).
I see people drive around with smashed windshields. I got pulled over for a crack that didn't even extend above the wipers.

Then again, I have been lucky with my speeding at least.

Limo eyebrow, limo back glass and 2 steps below limo on door glass. Keeps the inside cool and saves interior from Louisiana summers.

Sorry brother, tint on someone else's vehicle is what I wrote about. If I can't see the other driver due to a very dark tint I don't like it.

I have no doubt your sunglasses like mine are very dark----but I can definitely see out of them or I'd find a pair I could see out of.

Yeah Illinois is totally a mess so I definitely feel for you. Have a great day.
