Hey all, I know this has probably been beaten to death and I’m sure there is a thread somewhere but I wanted an updated one. Im thinking of putting 3.5 inch lift on my Mojave with 37’s. Can I see some pics of those with this setup and any must do’s that you’ve learned after driving it. I know I don’t need that height but I like the look.

I take it off road occasionally but it is more used as my daily driver. When I say off road I mean mud holes and the beach. I’m not interested in climbing boulders. Also I live 30 miles from the ocean so no elevation

thanks

Metal Cloak GC 3.5" with Mickey AT's (came out to 4") on +30 offset wheels. Drives very nice. As far as must do's, other than follow directions to a tee or have a professional install it... Buy quality parts and make sure you have tools that can handle the job. The torque plus angle on these bolts are a PITA. I'm a big proponent of complete systems. Be prepared, the 37's are going to put a lot more stress on your "parts", like ball joints. As you will hear/see in this forum, and has been repeated ad nauseum, "buy once, cry once."

I just got a '25 Mojave a couple months ago and really like your rig. Did you purchase a new front driveshaft? Have you regeared or do you plan on it?

I have not bite the bullet on the front driveshaft as of yet. Very mild off roading at this point so no binding in the boot area. I will likely go with the Teraflex high angle Rzzepa CV joint replacement. I have zero vibrations at this point and have no plans to add any.

I have 5:13 gears in it now. I live in the Hill Country so while not mountainous at all, still got a lot of hills around here. The 5:13's work very well for me. Have made a few road trips to AZ and CA and at 80mph on the I-10 west, it does well. From home to AZ and Home to CA, 13.5mpg. Not great but considering I do the speed limit (and a little bit more :)) on the I-10 and driving a cinderblock on wheels, I was happy.

Sounds like the JT already has the high angle joint

Beautiful setup....Would you mind measuring and posting the distance from the center of the wheel hub to the fender? :)

Unless something changed the teraflex rzzepa for JL/JT is not high angle, it has the same limitations as OEM. Their JK one was high angle but the JT one is just oem

I’m a newbie but it sounds like this high angle cv joint kit solves the same potential problem as a $800 driveshaft?
It has the potential to. I think it just depends on how hard you plan on crawling your gladiator. How tall of a lift you run and how much flex you can get out of it is a factor in whether or not the teraflex high angle CV will solve your problem.

3.5" lift with 37s, 17x9 with -38 offset (3.5" backspacing). I reused my stock Mojave shocks with shock extensions. The truck drives as good or better than stock.

They've had that for a long time, and it was confirmed in the JL forum by teraflex that it is just an OEM spec rzzeppa, not like the JK one which gained extra clearance. Id reach out to teraflex to see if something changed in the last year before purchasing. If you do and I'm wrong please let me know as id much rather avoid u joints and vibrations.
