MOPAR steel bumper "winch guard" questions

I have an Amazon one as well. Over a year and no rust. Mopar is way too proud of thier parts.

Yeah, as if those require engineering like used in aircraft, and military spec finishes.
I appreciate the quality, the finish, the fit, but the price?

That's like the simple MOPAR bar but at a much more reasonable price. Nice they actually give some detail about it in the description.


Something about the RockTrix bar has my attention. It's for the future, of course, too many other needs and things going on, but this has been an interesting show of what's out there, and frankly, I don't dislike any of them (was hoping some would jump out as a "no way!" thing, but none have)

So the thread is meeting my goal for sure (thanks to all so far) and maybe it will help others who bought their Jeep with the steel bumper and like the bumper, but want a bar over the winch or for lights or whatever.

A Heads up on the Mopar Bar. I installed Warn Zeon XD 10-S using a Grimm plate. That install went fairly easy. Enter the Winch Guard, which I bought for mounting lights and not really for guarding anything! Anyhow. The problem: With my above winch and mounting setup the very top front of the winch hit the guard. I had to stack two washers(about 1/4" high) under the rear bolts to tip the bar forward. this gave me .020 clearance between the bar and top front of the winch. I don't see it being a problem and you wouldn't notice it unless I pointed it out, because everything is black anyway.
Bottom line, if the guard actually has to guard against anything It's only got .020 till my winch is on it's own.
I'll keep the setup for awhile, but it bothers me! Just a heads up if you're look to do the same setup I just did.

American Adventure labs has this nice light holder for the front bumper.

For now, not planning on adding a winch to the glad, both Jlu's have them.
So always at least one winch when were out. Try to always go minimum of Two.

I purchased it originally to go over my Winch on my 2021 Rubi JLU diesel.
But now plan to attach it to the Glad. for lights
My Wife's 2020 Bikini Blue already had the over bar built into the bumper package.

Mopar single hoop and love it. Fits perfectly over the winch. I like that it doesn’t protrude out past the bumper, just my personal taste. Make sure your winch is short enough though, mine is close, less than an inch of space.

I've got an Amazon one too, bolted right up and the bar mounts are from Amazone too, light and winch from Harbor Freight. The air chuck is my DIY quick release trail flag mount

I just have an Amazon special. The Mopar one was way overpriced. This one bolted right on and it had a nice powder coated finish. No issues at all with quality.

Those are what I got. No complaints whatsoever, great quality and price, IMO.

The 7.6” one. apparently they raised the price to $99. I did the taller one to fit my lights under it.
